Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas keteladanan dosen PAI tentang cara menghadapi perbedaan paham keagamaan mahasiswa. Hal ini penting dilakukan karena keteladanan sangat berguna dalam menanamkan nilai toleransi. Jika penelitian lain hanya membahas keteladanan fisik, penelitian ini lebih dalam membahas cara menanamkan nilai toleransi intra agama yang dewasa ini sangat dibutuhkan. Metode yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kemiripan strategi yang dilakukan dosen PAI. Disimpulkan bahwa di dalam proses pembelajaran, dosen mengurai benang kusut yang terjadi di kalangan umat Islam. Memaparkan secara rinci alasan perbedaan yang terjadi dengan prespektif kebenaran yang komperhensif, sehingga mahasiswa diajak untuk membuka pemikiran lebih luas dan berdampak pada internalisasi nilai toleransi. Internalisasi nilai toleransi inilah yang akan membekali mahasiswa untuk lebih toleran terutama ketika berperan sebagai guru nanti.----------- This study discusses the example of Islamic Education lecturers on how to deal with the differences in students' religious understanding. In fact, it is important because examples are in demand in the establishment of tolerance values. Interestingly, if other studies only examine the examples in terms of physical aspects, this present study focuses more on how to establish the value of intra-religious tolerance which is highly needed nowadays. In regard to the research method, this study employed a qualitative method. In addition, the data in this study were collected through the techniques of interviews, observation, and document studies. The results of this study showed that there was a similar strategy implemented by the Islamic Education lecturers in dealing with the difference of students' religious understanding. It was concluded that in the process of learning, the lecturers solved the problems that occurred among Muslims. In addition, the lecturers also explained in detail the reasons behind this issue with a comprehensive truth perspective. Therefore, the students were encouraged to open up broader ways of thinking and it had an impact on the internalization of the value of tolerance. In particular, this internalization of tolerance will then equip the students with the values of tolerance, especially in the moment they have to act as teachers in the future.
