Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi berdasarkan hasil observasi di kelas III pada salah satu SDN di Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung. Terdapat beberapa masalah pada proses pembelajaran yang mengakibatkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn). Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match, (2) Mendeskripsikan perkembangan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PKn dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dan mengadaptasi model penelitian yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggart (Arikunto, 2009, hlm. 16). Model penelitian yang digunakan ini adalah model daur (siklus) yang mencakup empat komponen, yaitu: rencana (planning), pelaksanaan (action), observasi (observation), dan refleksi (reflection). Instrumen pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa tes evaluasi setiap siklus serta lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan kegiatan siswa. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pada tindakan siklus I mencapai 67,94 dengan ketuntasan berdasarkan KKM sebesar 50%. Nilai rata-rata pada siklus II menjadi 86,42 dengan persentase ketuntasan berdasarkan KKM sebesar 94,28%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn).----------The research’s background is based on the observation’s result in third grade in of the Public Elementary School in Sukasari, Bandung. There were some issues in the learning process which resulted in students’ low learning result in Civic Education. The purpose in this research is to: (1) Describing the implementation of students’ learning by implementing the cooperative learning model type Make a Match, (2) Describing the students’ learning result development in Civic Education by applying the learning model. The method used for this research is Classroom Action Research and adapting research model developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart (Arikunto, 2009: 16). The research model used in this research is cycle model which includes four components, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument for collecting data is evaluation test for every cycles and also teacher and students’ activity observation sheets. The result shows that the average of Cycle I action is 67,94 with the completeness based on KKM around 50%. The average grade on Cycle II improves to 84,62 with the completeness percentage based on KKM around 94,28%. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of the cooperative learning model type Make a Match can improve students’ learning result in Civic Education.
