Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan kerja sama yang masih kurang pada siswa kelas III A di salah satu SD Negeri Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung. Hal ini ditandai dengan tidak adanya pembagian tugas antar siswa pada saat pembelajaran kelompok. Siswa masih pilih-pilih teman pada saat pembagian kelompok. Ketika siswa belajar dalam kelompok, guru cenderung memberikan tugas pada kelompok tanpa membimbing kelompok tersebut selama proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan mengadaptasi model PTK dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III A yang berjumlah 29 orang. Hasil dari siklus I menunjukan kemampuan kerja sama mencapai presentase sebesar 66% dengan kategori sedang, sedangkan pada siklus II kemampuan kerja sama siswa meningkat hingga mencapai 86% dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada kelas IIIA terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama pada diri siswa dalam pembelajaran. Maka dengan itu diharapkan pembelajaran ini dapat dijadikan suatu alternatif dalam pembelajaran guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama siswa. This research is motivated by the ability of cooperation that is still lacking in grade IIIA students in one elementary school Sukasari Distric Bandung City. This is indicated by the absence of division tasks among students at the time of group learning. Students are still picky buddies at the time of group division. When students learn in groups, teachers tend to assign tasks to groups without guiding the group during the learning process. The purpose of this research is to improve cooperative ability by applying STAD type cooperative learning. The method in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) by adapting the PTK model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This study was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study are students of class IIIA of 29 people. The result from cycle I showed the ability of cooperation to reach the percentage of 66% with the medium category, while in cycle II the ability of student cooperation increased up to 86% with high category. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning type STAD in class IIIA proven to improve the ability of cooperation in students self in learning. Therefore, it is expected that this learning can be an alternative in teacher's learning to improve students' cooperation ability. Key words: STAD type cooperative learning, collaborative skills.
