Abstract

Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana program ekstrakurikuler yang diselenggarakan oleh sekolah-sekolah unggulan. Fokus penelitian ini mencakup empat hal, mengenai program ekstrakurikuler keagamaan di SMPN 2 Bandung, program ekstrakurikuler keagamaan di SMPN 5 Bandung, persamaan dan perbedaan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan di SMPN 2 Bandung dan SMPN 5 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pertama, Program Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan di SMPN 2 Bandung meliputi 9 program antara lain mentoring, mabit, squad, osram, mcamp, sinergi, timbel baso, lko, dan adventure race. Kedua, Program Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan di SMPN 5 Bandung meliputi 8 program seperti mentoring, mabit, tafakur alam, pelatihan mentor, tajwid, lomba islam, silaturahim rohis, dan gerakan bersih masjid.. Ketiga, persamaan Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan di SMPN 2 Bandung dan Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan di SMPN 5 Bandung melibatkan pengurus/ anggota Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan dalam program PAI di lingkungan sekolah, tergabung dalam ITSAR sebagai kumpulan dari Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan pada beberapa SMP di Kota Bandung, dan kegiatan rutin dari kedua ekstrakurikuler keagamaan ini ialah mentoring. Keempat, Perbedaan Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan di SMPN 2 Bandung dan SMPN 5 Bandung antara lain berdasarkan prestasi sekolah (SMPN 2 lebih unggul jumlah prestasi), berdasarkan kuantitas anggota/pengurus yang terlibat (pengurus SMPN 2 dominasi oleh kelas delapan dan anggota yang aktif adalah kelas 7) sedangkan pengurus SMPN 5 di dominasi kelas 8 dan anggota yang aktif kelas 7 dan 8, berdasarkan perbandingan kualitas program, antara timbel baso/tim belajar bahas soal dengan pelatihan menjadi mentor lebih unggul timbel baso karena menunjang nilai PAI/UASBN. Kata Kunci : Pembinaan Karakter, Ekstrakurikuler, Sekolah Unggulan This research aims to describe an overview about the extracurricular programs in favorite schools, which focused in four different competency; an overview about the extracurricular programs in SMPN 2 Bandung, an overview about the extracurricular programs in SMPN 5 Bandung, the similarities and differences of the religion extracurricular programs in both SMPN 2 Bandung and SMPN 5 Bandung. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method. The results show first, religious extracurricular program in SMPN 2 Bandung has nine programs which are mentoring, mabit, squad, osram, mcamp, sinergi, timbel baso, lko, and adventure races. Second, religious extracurricular program in SMPN 5 Bandung has eight programs such as mentoring, mabit, tafakur alam, pelatihan mentor (mentor training), tajwid, lomba islam, silaturohim rohis, and gerakan bersih masjid. Third, the similarities of the religious extracurricular programs in both SMPN 2 Bandung and SMPN 5 Bandung are they both involve the organizers/members of religion extracurricular in PAI program in the school area, incorporated in ITSAR as a religion extracurricular association in some junior high school in Bandung City, and have mentoring as their routine activity. Fourth, the differences of the religious extracurricular in both SMPN 2 Bandung and SMPN 5 Bandung are divided into the number of achievements (the program in SMPN 2 Bandung is better), the quantity of organizers/members involved (the organizers of the program in SMPN 2 Bandung are dominated by the eighth grade and the active members are class 7, while the organizers of the program in SMPN 5 Bandung are dominated by the eighth grade and the active members are both from seventh and eighth grade), the quality of the program (timbel baso or tim belajar bahas soal –material discussing team- better than mentor training since it improve the score of PAI test and UASBN (school examination).
