Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran saintifik untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Partisipan penelitian merupakan seluruh siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar dengan jumlah 30. Model pembelajaran saintifik dengan langkah-langkah ilmiah seperti mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengolah informasi, dan mengomunikasikan digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi dalam kelas, di antaranya hanya terdapat tiga siswa yang mendominasi dalam pembelajaran, tidak ada siswa yang bertanya terkait materi yang belum dipahami, kelalaian dalam mengerjakan tugas, kurangnya kerja sama dalam belajar kelompok, rendahnya keterampilan komunikasi. Hal ini bertolak belakang dengan indikator keaktifan, seperti siswa berani bertanya terkait pembelajaran, berani berpendapat, melaksanakan tugas secara mandiri dengan penuh tanggung jawab, bekerja sama dalam kelompok, mencari informasi dari berbagai sumber, giat mengolah atau menganalisis data hasil temuan, berani mengomunikasikan data hasil temuan, dan berpartisipasi dalam menyimpulkan pembelajaran. Penerapan model pembelajaran saintifik memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk aktif menemukan sendiri fakta, konsep, prinsip, maupun teori, maka penelitian yang dilakukan mendapatkan hasil bahwa keaktifan belajar siswa meningkat dari 62,19% pada siklus I menjadi 85,21% pada siklus II, peningkatan keaktifan juga beriringan dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, bagi guru saintifik cocok digunakan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini diperbaiki. ;---This study aims to describe the application of scientific learning model to improve student learning activeness. The study participants were all students of grade IV of elementary school with a total of 30. Scientific learning models with scientific steps such as observing, questioning, gathering information, processing information, and communicating are used to overcome problems that occur in the classroom, among them the are only three students who dominate in learning, no student asks questions about material that has not been understood, negligence in doing the task, lack of cooperation in group learning, low communication skills. This is opposite to the activeness indicator, such as students daring to ask related learning, dare to argue, carry out the task independently with full responsibility, working together in groups, looking for information from various sources, actively processing or analyzing data findings, daring to communicate data yield findings, and participate in concluding learning. The application of scientific learning model provides an opportunity for students to actively find their own facts, concepts, principles, an theories, then the research conducted to get the result that the student learning activeness increased from 62,19% in the first cycle to 85,21% in cycle II,activeness indikator is also tandem with increasing student learning outcomes. Thus, for scientific teachers suitable to improve students learning activiteies. And for future researchers to limitations in this study improved.
