Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara kelompok peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan strateegi reciprocal teaching dengan kelompok peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan metode ceramah dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas V Semester I SDN Sariwangi tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Control Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui instrumen berupa tes pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPS antara kelompok peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan strategi reciprocal teaching dan kelompok peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan metode ceramah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep IPS peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan strategi reciprocal teaching lebih baik dari pemahaman konsep IPS peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan metode ceramah. Sehingga membuktikan bahwa strategi reciprocal teaching memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep IPS SD. Selanjutnya tanggapan peserta didik terhadap penerapan strategi reciprocal teaching adalah positif. Peserta didik merasa lebih terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran dan dianggap tidak membuat jenuh. Strategi reciprocal teaching dapat menjadi rujukan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif, kreatif, efektif dan sesuai untuk peserta didiknya.;--- This study is aimed to find out the difference of concept comprehension between students who learn by using reciprocal teaching strategy and those who study by using lecturing method during social studies learning at 5th grade of SDN Sariwangi in 1st semester of the academic year of 2016/2017. The type of this study is a quasi-experiment with the study design of quasi control group pretest-posttest design. The data of this study is collected through an instrument called a concept comprehension test. The result of the study indicates that there is the differences between students who learn by reciprocal teaching strategy and those who study by using lecturing method. This shows that the concept comprehension of social studies of students who learn using reciprocal teaching strategy is better than that of the students who study by using lecturing method. Therefore it proves that reciprocal teaching strategy gives a significant influence on social studies concept comprehension at elementary school. Furthermore the response of the students to ward the implementation of reciprocal teaching strategy is positive. The students feel to have more involvement in the learning process and this method does not make them bored easily. The reciprocal teaching strategy can be a reference of an innovative, creative and effective learning strategy whith is suitable with the students.
