Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pengalaman langsung yang dialami siswa tentang suasana industri di sekolah yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam bidang pemesinan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan model pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan suasana industri di sekolah dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kerja dalam bidang pemesinan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang meliputi, pertama dilakukan pengembangan materi dan desain pembelajaran yang menyertakan sekolah, industri dan Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi, selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba terbatas dan uji coba luas, dan uji validasi terhadap produk yang dihasilkan dengan melakukan eksperimen dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan model pembelajaran yang dihasilkan ini merupakan pembelajaran yang memberikan pengalaman langsung dengan suasana industri di sekolah dan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan yang dituntut oleh industri. Model pembelajaran ini lebih membuka wawasan bekerja yang meliputi perencanaan produk, pembuatan langkah-langkah kerja, perencanaan biaya dan pengendalian mutu produk dan kerja. Berdasarkan hasil dari tabel Sampel Uji Independent mencatat bahwa sig (2 tailed) sebesar 0,000 < = 0,025. Ini berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran terhadap kompetensi kerja industri siswa SMK. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini adalah melalui pembelajaran ini, siswa dapat memerankan diri sebagai pekerja/operator dan mendapatkan pengalaman langsung suasana kerja di sekolah, serta mampu menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan. Pembelajaran ini merupakan tantangan dan wahana untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru, karena dalam model ini guru berperan sebagai supervisor, fasilitator sekaligus sebagai asesor, selain itu melalui pembelajaran ini dapat membantu pendayagunaan fasilitas, sumber daya guru serta hubungan industri dalam menciptakan siswa yang mempunyai kompetensi industri.;--- Problem aroused in this research is students’ lack of direct experience in real industrial atmosphere developed within the school environment that can mutually enhance the students' competence in the field of machining technique. The purpose of this research is to find a learning model design which can provide industrial atmosphere within the school environment and can improve the work skills on this field, and find the most representative model of its implementation. The research methodology used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) approach, which includes the learning material development and instructional design that are collaboratively developed through the involvement of the schools, industrial company and Professional Certification Agency, and have performed both limited and extensive testings, as well as products validation through conducting several significant experiments in learning. The results show that the alternative learning model provides direct experience with the industrial atmosphere being established in the school settings, and is able to improve skills demanded by the industrial company. This alternative learning model gives more open-minded insight to the work, and includes the steps of product planning, work procedure manufacturing, cost planning and quality control of products and employment. Based on the results of the 2 tailed Test-table of the Independent Samples at 0.000 <α is 0.025. This means that there is significant influences of the learning model towards students vocational competence. Implications of this study are that through this learning model, students can role himself as a worker or operator and promote direct working experience atmosphere at school, and able to grow their entrepreneurship spirit. Implementation of this model can become a challenge as well as a tool for improving the professionalism of teachers, because through this model teachers can act as supervisors as well as assessors. Implementation of this model can help developing learning and utilize facilities and teacher resources, as well as industrial company relations in order to promote students’ work industry competence.
