Abstract

Pnelitian tindakan kelas ini berjudul Penerapan Metode Demonstrasi Untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas Belajar Siswa Kelas I SD. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya ativitas belajar belajar siswa dalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana dampak dari penggunaan Metode Demosntrasi dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa terutama dalam ranah kognitif. Aktivitas belajar tersebut dapat dilihat dari kemunculan indikator beberapa aspek kognitif yang diterapkan dalam proses penelitian dan aspek tersebut antara lain adalah mengingat (C1) memahami (C2) dan menerapkan (C3). Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini Penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dengan 2 (dua) siklus dan tiap siklusnya satu tindakan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran yang menggunakan Metode Demonstrasi dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa dalam ranah kognitif yang kemudian di deskripsikan sesuai dengan pengolahan data kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IA di SDN salah satu mitra UPI yang berjumlah 11 dari 40 siswa. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan metode Demonstrasi menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas belajar kognitif siswa. Aktivitas belajar kognitif siswa pada siklus satu terlihat ada beberapa siswa yang belum memunculkan aktivitas ranah kognitif selama pembelajaran sedangkan pada siklus II seluruh siswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian telah memunculkan semua aspek aktivitas belajar kognititifnya. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut disarankan kepada guru di sekolah yang terkait maupun penelitian selanjutnya bahwa siswa perlu dilibatkan secara langsung selama proses pembelajaran sehingga siswa memiliki pengalaman baru dan menjadi lebih bermakna salah satunya adalah dengan Metode Demonstrasi;---Measure research in this class had a topic Demonstration application method to increase student learning activity in 1st primary school class. This research was background by lack of student learning activity in class room. The purpose of this research was known to how far the impact of using demonstration method to increase student learning activity especially by cognitive. Learning activity could seeing by emerge of some indicator cognitive that applied by research processand aspect was including of remembering (C1), comprehend (C2), and practice (C3). Research of method that using in this study research class of measure who adapted by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model in 2 cycle and each have one measure. Data collection technique using by research instrument was observation paper sheet of teaching activity and student by learning in room who used demonstration method and observation paper sheet by student learning activity in cognitive in another way to take the description that available by kualitatif data process. The subject of research was student from 1Ast class of public elementary school which was one of UPI partner who has 11 student from 40 student in the class room. The result of this research that using demonstration method show the enhancement of student’s cognitive learning activity in class room. Student’s cognitive learning activity in class room had one cycle showing some student’s have no bring out the kognitve activity as long as the learning process whilst of cycle II all of the student that been research subject was showed all the activity aspect of cognitive learned. Based of finding that case, all of the teacher in school that realted and next researched has recommending that involving the student as long as the learning activity in class room so that making the student’s have new experience and get more meaningfull to using demonstration method.
