Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe connected berbasis guided inquiry dalam upaya meningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasy eksperiment. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent pretest-posttest control-group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di kabupaten Bogor, sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 30 siswa dan kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Kelas eksperimen mendapatkan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe connected berbasis guided inquiry, sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapatkan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe connected dengan praktikum verifikasi. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes penguasaan konsep dan tes keterampilan proses sains. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-gain untuk penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa berada pada kategori sedang baik untuk kelas eksprimen maupun kelas kontrol. Namun peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas eksprimen secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran IPA terpadu berbasis guided inquiry secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran IPA terpadu dengan praktikum verifikasi. ; the purpose of this study was to investigate students’s concept mastery and science process skill using guided inquiry model in connected type of integrated science learning. This study was using quasiy experiment methode with non-equivalent pretest-posttest control-group design. Sample of this study was 7th grade students at one of Junior High School in Bogor, using two classes, they were 30 students of experiment class and 30 students of control class. Experiment class using guided inquiry model, while control class using lab verivication model. Instrument of this study was concept mastery’s test and science process skill’s test. Data analysis using t-test and mann Whitney test. The result showed the average N-gain for students’s concept mastery and science process skills are in category of medium for the experiment and control classes. however experiment class students’s concept mastery performed better than the control class. The result of this study also show experiment class students’s science process skill performed better than the control class students. The results of the study indicate that students’s concept mastery and science process skill who using guided inquiry model performed better significantly.
