Abstract
Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini yaitu masalah kapasitas manajemen sekolah yang mengakibatkan sejumlah sekolah dasar di Kota Bandung belum dapat mencapai target untuk memenuhi Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM), hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan sekolah belum dapat mencapai standar mutu pendidikan yang akan berdampak pada rendahnya kepuasan pelanggan. Hal ini diduga karena sumber daya manusia (SDM) sekolah belum dapat mengelola sekolah dengan baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang termasuk ke dalam teknik non-probability sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah keseluruhan Kepala Sekolah, Guru dan Komite Sekolah pada sekolah dasar negeri Kota Bandung sebanyak 9.137 responden dan hanya 99 responden yang dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian. Berdasarkan pengolahan data yang dihitung dengan menggunakan teknik WMS (Weight Means Scored) diperoleh bahwa skor rata-rata kecendrungan umum untuk kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sebesar 4,61 yang berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi dan skor rata-rata kecendrungan umum untuk kapasitas manajemen sekolah sebesar 4,24 yang berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil dari uji normalitas menunjukkan variabel X dan variabel Y berdistribusi normal. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tingkat koefisien korelasi antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kapasitas manajemen sekolah sebesar 0,393 dengan kategori “rendah”. Dari hasil uji signifikansi menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kapasitas manajemen sekolah dengan hasil uji determinasi menunjukkan bahwa variabel X memiliki pengaruh sebesar 15,4% terhadap variabel Y dan 84,6% lainnya dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Hasil analisis regresi membuktikan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dapat menentukan kapasitas manajemen sekolah. Hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kapasitas manajemen sekolah. ; The issues raised in this research is the problem of school management capacity which resulted in a number of primary schools in Bandung not yet can be reached the target to fulfill Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM), it may cause a school not yet reached the quality standard of education that will result in low customer satisfaction. This is presumably because the school’s human resources have not been able to manage the school well. This research used descriptive method with quantitative approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling techniques that included into the non-probability sampling techniques. The population in this research are the total of headmasters, teachers and the school committee at a public elementary school in Bandung with total 9371 respondents and only 99 respondents sampled in the research. Based on the data processing which is calculated by using the technique of WMS (Weight Means Scored) found that the average score of a general tendency for the leadership of the headmaster has a score of 4,61 which are in the very high category and the average score of a general tendency for school management capacity has a score of 4,24 in the very high category. The results of the normality test shows the variable X and variable Y have normal distribution. Results of correlation analysis that show the correlation coefficient between the level of headmaster leadership to the school management capacity of 0.393 with the category of "low". The significance of the test results indicate that headmaster leadership has a positive and significant impact on the capacity of school management with determination test results indicate that the variable X has the effect of 15.4% against variable Y and others 84.6% can be influenced by other factors. The regression analysis proves that the leadership of headmaster can determine the capacity of school management. It can be concluded that the headmaster leadership has a positive and significant impact on the capacity of school management.
