Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kombinatorial, penalaran kombinatorial, dan disposisi kombinatorial merupakan tiga aspek penting dalam membentuk konsep kombinatorika dan pengalaman belajar siswa yang lebih baik. Ketiga aspek tersebut dapat dikatakan sebagai kekuatan atau daya kombinatorial seorang siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki kualitas, peningkatan kualitas, dan peningkatan daya kombinatorial siswa sebagai akibat dari pembelajaran model penemuan terbimbing dan pembelajaran model ekspositori. Selain itu, ditinjau juga kesalahan-kesalahan siswa selama mengerjakan tes kombinatorial. Penelitian ini menggunakan non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X salah satu SMA swasta di Bandung. Adapun sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMP salah satu SMA swasta di Bandung sebanyak dua kelas. Satu kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat pembelajaran model penemuan terbimbing dan satu kelas lainnya sebagai kelompok kontrol yang mendapat pembelajaran model ekspositori. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas tes kombinatorial, skala disposisi kombinatorial, dan pedoman observasi guru dan siswa.;--- Combinatorial thinking, combinatorial reasoning, and combinatorial disposition are three important aspects in shaping combinatorics concepts and student learning experience better. These three aspects can be considered as power of students’ combinatorial ability. This study aimed to investigate quality, quality improvement, and enhancement of combinatorial students as a result of guided discovery learning model and expository learning model. In addition, also reviewed the mistakes students during work on combinatorial test. This study used a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X private high school in Bandung. The sample of this research is students of class X junior one private high school in Bandung as many as two classes. One class as an experimental group that received instructional guided discovery learning model and one other class as a control group who received expository learning model. The instrument used in this study consisted of combinatorial test, combinatorial disposition scale, and observation guide to teachers and students.
