Abstract
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) mengenai penerapan model TANDUR (Tumbuhkan, Alami, Namai, Demonstrasi, Ulangi, Rayakan) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pelajaran IPA dengan materi perubahan kenampakan bumi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SDN di Kota Bandung. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IVB yang berjumlah 16 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model TANDUR untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa; (2) mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran TANDUR. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pelajaran IPA dengan hanya 18,75% peserta didik yang lulus KKM sebesar 75, dengan rata-rata kelas sebesar 44 pada saat dilakukan pengambilan data awal. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang mengadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart dengan tiga siklus. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pelajaran IPA dengan materi pokok perubahan kenampakan bumi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran TANDUR. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata kelas dan ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I, II, III mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 43%, pada siklus II meningkat mejadi 75% dan pada siklus III meningkat kembali menjadi 88%. Selain itu persentase rata-rata kelas pun meningkat, pada siklus I sebesar 66, lalu meningkat pada siklus II menjadi sebesar 75 dan pada siklus III meningkat kembali mencapai 83. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran TANDUR dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pelajaran IPA materi pokok perubahan kenampakan bumi. ;--- This research is a classroom action research regarding the implementation of TANDUR (growing, experiencing, naming, demonstrating, repeating, and appreciating) model to improve the comprehension of concept of students in science in a material: a change on earth’s appearance. This study was conducted in one of elementary school in Bandung city. The subjects were 16 students in grade IV class B. This study aims to (1) investigate the implementation of learning by using a TANDUR model to improve the students' concepts comprehension; (2) to increase the students' concepts comprehension by using TANDUR model. The implementation of this research was motivated by the low of students’ comprehension concept skill in science subject that only 18.75% of students who passed the minimum mastery criteria with an average of students’ score in that class reached 44 at the first time of collecting data. Based on this problem, the researcher used Class Action Research which adapted from the Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model with three cycles. Results of conducted research showed an increase in students’ concept comprehension in science subject with the main material: a change on the earth’s appearance by using TANDUR model. This is showed from the average of students’ score in class and completeness of learning in cycle I, II, III which has increased. In cycle I, the percentage of learning completeness reached 43%, in the cycle II increased up to 75% and in cycle III increased again up to 88%. In addition, the percentage of the students’ score average has increased, the percentage in the cycle I was 66, and increased in cycle II became 75 and in cycle III increased again up to 83. From these results, it can be concluded that TANDUR learning model can improve students’ comprehension of concept in science subject in main material: a change in the earth’s appearance.
