Abstract
Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bab ikatan kimia pada salah satu buku teks pelajaran SMA/MA yang digunakan di kota Bandung dari segi keluasan dan kedalaman materi, kebenaran konsep, dan nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan melalui perspektif 4S TMD pada tahap seleksi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pencermatan pada sumber data. Dari sumber data dilakukan identifikasi pengetahuan, identifikasi konsep, dan identifikasi teks dasar penanaman nilai yang terkandung dalam buku teks pelajaran tersebut. Terdapat 70 pengetahuan yang membahas 25 topik pada buku teks pelajaran, yang kemudian dianalisis keluasan dan kedalaman berdasarkan kurikulum. Hasil analisis keluasan materi menunjukkan bahwa topik yang dibahas kurang luas adalah topik pengertian ikatan kimia. Selanjutnya untuk analisis kedalaman materi diperoleh hasil yaitu, 2 topik yang dibahas kurang dalam adalah topik struktur Lewis dan pengecualian aturan oktet dan 3 topik yang dibahas terlalu dalam adalah topik ikatan ion, gaya van der Waals, dan bentuk molekul. Sedangkan pada identifikasi konsep diperoleh 65 pengetahuan yang membangun konsep dengan 25 topik, dan hasil analisis kebenaran konsep secara keilmuan menunjukkan 4 pengetahuan yang dinyatakan salah, yaitu pengetahuan yang membangun konsep pada topik kestabilan atom, pengecualian aturan oktet, bentuk molekul, dan teori VSEPR. Dan data teks dasar penanaman nilai dibandingkan dengan indikator nilai, kemudian diperoleh hasil analisis nilai yang ditanamkan adalah nilai rasa ingin tahu. Kata kunci: Analisis buku teks pelajaran kimia SMA/MA kelas X, Seleksi, Bab ikatan kimia, 4 Steps Teaching Material Development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the chemical bond chapter on one of textbooks SMA / MA are used in the city in terms of scope, concept validity, and character building based on 4S TMD perspective at the selection. The method used is descriptive research with technical scrutiny on the data source. Identification of data sources of knowledge, identification of concept, and identification of basic text character built in the textbooks. There are 70 knowledge that discuss 25 topics in textbooks, which are then analyzed based curriculum scope. Results of the analysis showed that is less widely discussed topic is the topic of definition of chemical bonding. Furthermore, 2 topics are topics discussed lacking in structure of Lewis and octet rule exceptions and 3 topics covered too deep is the topic of ionic bonding, van der Waals forces, and the shape of the molecule. While the identification of the concept of knowledge gained 65 concepts with 25 topics, and the results of the analysis of the concept validity in science shows otherwise incorrect 4 knowledge, which construct atomic stability, exceptions octet rule, molecular shape, and the VSEPR theory concepts. And text data compared with the character building of the indicator, then the obtained results is the character of curiosity.
