Abstract

Aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VIII SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung belum optimal karena guru tidak merangsang peserta didik untuk aktif dalam pembelajaran dan mampu memecahkan persoalan yang muncul dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebagai variabel terikat, metode quiz team, MURDER dan ceramah bervariasi sebagai variabel bebas dan aktivitas belajar sebagai variabel moderator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang menggunakan metode quiz team, MURDER dan ceramah bervariasi; 2) mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang menggunakan metode quiz team, MURDER dan ceramah bervariasi pada aktivitas tinggi, sedang dan rendah; 3) mengetahui interaksi antara metode pembelajaran, aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan dua kelas eksperimen, dan satu kelas kontrol dengan desain factorial. Analisis data menggunakan statistic uji independent sample test untuk uji beda dan anaisis univariate untuk mengetahui interaksi antara ketiga variabel. Hasil analisis data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa 1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang menggunakan metode quiz team, MURDER dan ceramah bervariasi; 2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang menggunakan metode quiz team, MURDER dan ceramah bervariasi pada aktivitas tinggi, sedang dan rendah; 3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran, aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian ini juga dapat menjadi saran bagi guru dan pihak sekolah untuk terus memfasilitasi pembelajaran IPS dengan metode yang sesuai terutama yang berkaitan dengan aktivitas belajar dan dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. ---------- The activity of learning and problem-solving abilities of the learners in the learning of IPS in class VIII SMP Bandung UPI Pilot Laboratories not optimal because the teacher does not stimulate learners to be active in learning and able to solve problems that arise in everyday life. Problem-solving ability as variable, methods of quiz team, MURDER and lectures vary as variables and learning activities as a moderator variable. This research aims to know the difference of ability 1) problem solving methods using learners quiz team, MURDER and lectures vary; 2) know the difference in the ability of problem solving methods using learners quiz team, MURDER and a varied lecture on activity of high, medium and low; 3) find out the interaction between the learning methods, learning activities and problem-solving abilities. The method of this research is quasi experiment using two classes of experiments, and a control class with the factorial design. The data analysis using independent test sample test statistic for a test of different univariate analysis and to know the interactions between these three variables. The results of the data analysis conducted in this study tells us that 1) there is a difference the ability of problem solving methods using learners quiz team, MURDER and lectures vary; 2) there is a difference in the ability of problem solving methods using learners quiz team, MURDER and a varied lecture on activity of high, medium and low; 3) there was no interaction between the learning methods, learning activities and problem-solving abilities. The results of this research can also be suggestions for teachers and the school to continue to facilitate the learning of IPS with the appropriate method especially with regard to the activity and the ability of learning and problem solving.
