Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini cukup mengkhawatirkan, hal tersebut disebabkan karena proses pembelajaran yang belum optimal. Dalam proses pembelajaran terdapat komponen-komponen yang harus diperhatikan, diantaranya yang paling menonjol yaitu metode dan media pembelajaran. Belum optimalnya proses pembelajaran karena kurangnya sarana dan prasarana belajar dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini, upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan dalam proses pembelajaran dapat diwujudkan dengan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis komputer. Media pembelajaran berbasis komputer dapat memfasilitasi interaktivitas peserta didik dengan sumber belajar dan mendukung terlaksananya pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Perancangan multimedia interaktif dapat dibuat dalam berbagai bentuk, salah satunya dalam bentuk games. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membangun multimedia pembelajaran interaktif games berbasis model Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) pada mata pelajaran jaringan dasar dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap multimedia yang dibangun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D), sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk membangun multimedia pembelajaran. Multimedia pembelajaran interaktif games dikembangkan dengan menerapkan model Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) sebagai pola penyampaian materi. Model MID terdiri dari tiga fase pembelajaran, yaitu Lead In, Reconstruction, dan Production. Multimedia yang telah dibangun diujicobakan secara terbatas pada 30 orang siswa SMK Negeri 11 Bandung Prodi Teknologi Komputer dan Informatika (TKI). Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) multimedia pembelajaran dinyatakan layak dan dikategorikan sangat baik berdasarkan validasi ahli materi dengan persentase 90,63% dan 85,33% dari ahli media, 2) respon positif dari responden setelah menggunakan multimedia dengan persentase 77,84% yang dikategorikan baik. ---------- The quality of education in Indonesia has quite worring, it is because the learning process is not optimal. In the learning process there are components that must be considered, including most prominently the methods and instructional media. The learning process is not optimal because the lack of facilities and infrastructure of learning and students’s motivation in learning. With the current technological developments, efforts to improve the quality of education in the learning process can be realized with the use of computer-based learning media. Computer-based learning media can facilitate interactivity learners with learning resources and support the implementation of learning fun. Interactive multimedia design can be made in various forms, one of them in the form of games. The aim of this research is to develop a interactive games learning multimedia based Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the subjects of basic network and determine students's responses to be multimedia built. This study uses research methods Research and Development (R&D), in accordance with the purpose of the research is to develop multimedia learning. Submission of material on this multimedia refers to the existing phases in the MID model. The MID model consist of three learning phases, there are Lead In, Reconstruction, and Production. Multimedia that has been built exercised is limited to 30 students of SMK Negeri 11 Bandung Prodi Computer Technology and Information (TKI). The results of this research are: 1) multimedia learning categorized as feasible and very good based on validation material experts with the percentage 90.63% and 85.33% of media expert, 2) a positive response from respondents with a percentage of 77.84% which is considered good.
