Abstract
Pembelajaran abad 21 yang mengarah kepada literasi informasi mempersyaratkan pembelajaran untuk berbasiskan ICT/ TIK. Banyaknya sumber informasi tidak menjamin siswa dapat menemukan informasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh informasi tentang peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran TIK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 43 Bandung dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 30 orang siswa dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Adapun hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa yang signifikan setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi. Secara khusus dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) adalah peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa signifikan pada aspek definisi tugas (task definition) setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran TIK ; (2) peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa signifikan pada aspek strategi pencarian informasi (information seeking strategies) setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran TIK; (3) peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa signifikan pada aspek lokasi dan akses (location and access) setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran TIK; (4) peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa signifikan pada aspek penggunaan informasi (use of information) setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran TIK; (5) peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa signifikan pada aspek sintesa (synthesis) setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran TIK; (6) peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa signifikan pada aspek evaluasi (evaluate) setelah penggunaan model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran TIK. Kata kunci : discovery learning, kemampuan literasi informasi 21st century learning that leads to require information literacy-based learning for ICT. The amount of resources does not guarantee that students can find information according to their need. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about students' information literacy skills improvement after using discovery learning’s model in ICT subjects. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with quantitative approach. The research instrument is a questionnaire. The population in this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 43 Bandung with the sample used in this study were 30 students, using cluster random sampling technique. The results of the research that has been done in general it can be concluded that there is increasing students' information literacy skills significantly after using discovery learning’s model on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology. In particular it can be concluded that (1) there is increasing students’ information literacy skill in task definition is significantly after using discovery learning’s model on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology; (2) there is increasing students’ information literacy skill in information seeking strategies is significantly after using discovery learning’s model on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology; (3) there is increasing students’ information literacy skill in location and access is significantly after using discovery learning’s model on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology; (4) there is increasing students’ information literacy skill in use of information is significantly after using discovery learning’s model on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology; (5) there is increasing students’ information literacy skill in synthesis is significantly after using discovery learning’s model on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology; (6) there is increasing students’ information literacy skill in evaluate is significantly after using discovery learning’s model on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology.
