Abstract

---------- The misconception is the understanding of a concept that is believed to be strongly but the concept is believed to be incompatible with the concepts of scientific experts. A misconception if not corrected would understand the concept of wrong forever. So, the misconception is viewed essential to modified to not damage the understanding further. To overcome misconception needed model of learning with student centered, such as cooperative learning. The aim of this research was to see the implementation of PDEODE learning with the help of computer simulations to reduce misconceptions students. PDEODE learning is done so that the students can discuss for mutual understanding of the related concept, argued so that students can build their own concept. Assisted learning with computer simulations as learning media to describe the phenomenon or circumstance that is abstract and difficult to explain. Research with method quasi experiment type Pre test and Post test Group Design this using a sample of 26 students at one of SMAN in Cimahi in purposive sample. Research results revealed that the profile of the conception of the students through the Four Tier Test results to the study of dynamic electrical showed students who understand the concept of 16,21%, the chance of experiencing the misconception 41,76%, 39,84% don't understand the concept, and the error is 2.20% to pretest. After a given learning, the highest category on the posttest results is 46,70% for students understand concepts, which have the privilege of experiencing the misconception 34,61%, don't understand the concept of 15,66% and 3.02% error. In the calculation adoption of the gain that is normalized (n-gain), reduction of the misconceptions students after learning of PDEODE with applied computer simulations as a medium of instruction was 0.21 and meets the low category. Some of the results of the reduction of the principal amount of each sub concept misconception gained 17.31% reduction misconception of current on the sub, 11,54% in sub concept potential difference, 3.85% on electrical circuit closed sub concept, 3.85% in sub concept barriers, as well as 1.54% in sub concept current in series and parallel.
