Abstract
Miskonsepsi merupakan konsepsi yang dipegang kuat dan merupakan stuktur kognitif yang stabil namun tidak sama dengan konsepsi para ahli atau konsep ilmiah. Salah satu faktor terjadinya miskonsepsi pada siswa yaitu tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa. Upaya untuk mengetahui perkembangan kognitif siswa maka perlu dilakukan tes berupa tes berpikir logis. Beberapa cara untuk mengidentifikasi terjadinya miskonsepsi pada siswa yaitu peta konsep, tes pilihan ganda dengan pertanyaan terbuka, tes esai, dan wawancara. Tes pilihan ganda banyak dipilih sebagai alat evaluasi karena mudah dalam penskoran, waktu pemeriksaan lebih singkat, dan terhindar dari sikap subjektif, tetapi belum mampu mengungkapkan miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa. Maka dari itu banyak para ahli yang mengembangkan tes untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi diantaranya Three-tier Test. Three-tier Test merupakan suatu alat yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi dan Lack of knowledge. Penelitian ini merancang Three-tier Test untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi, dan mengukur kemampuan berpikir logis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-eksploratif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 142 siswa SMP kelas VII yang berasal dari tiga SMP Negeri di Kota bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Three-tier Test dan TOLT. Hasil TOLT digunakan sebagai pembanding hasil tes berpikir logis modifikasi. Teknik pengambilan data menunjukkan dengan memberikan tes tertulis sebanyak satu kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir logis siswa SMP berada pada kategori kemampuan berpikir transisi, baik yang diteskan dengan TOLT dan tes berpikir logis modifikasi. Konsep yang paling banyak siswa mengalami miskonsepsi yaitu konsep jarak dan perpindahan sebanyak 50%. siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebagian besar merupakan siswa yang berada pada kategori berpikir konkret. Kata kunci: Berpikir Logis, Miskonsepsi dan Three-tier Test Misconception is strongly held conceptions and a stable cognitive structures, but unlike the conception of the expert or scientific concepts. One factor is the occurrence of misconception in the students stage of cognitive development of students. Efforts to determine the cognitive development of students it is necessary to test the form of the test of logical thinking. Some ways to identify the occurrence of misconceptions in the students that the concept maps, multiple choice test with open-ended questions, essay tests, and interviews. Multiple choice test was chosen as an evaluation tool for easy in scoring, shorter examination time, and avoid the subjective attitude, but has not been able to reveal misconceptions experienced by students. That is why many experts who develop tests to identify misconceptions among Three-tier Test. Three-tier Test is a tool used to identify misconceptions and Lack of knowledge. This study designed a three-tier test to identify misconception, and measure the ability to logical think. This study is a descriptive-explorative. The subjects were 142 seventh grade junior high school students from three Junior High School in Bandung. The instrument used in this study is a Three-tier Test and TOLT. Result TOLT used as a comperative test logical modification. Data retrieval techniques by providing a written test one time. The result showed that the logical thinking ability junior high school students in the category of transition thinking skills, both of which test with TOLT and logical thinking modification. The concept most students hane misconception that the concept of distance and displacement much 50%. Students who have misconception largely a student who is in the category of concert thought.
