Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh penerapan teknik aversi terhadap penurunan perilaku menggigit buku pada anak dengan spektrum autis di TK BPI Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena perilaku menggigit buku pada anak yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan anak dan mengganggu rutinitas anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan Single Subject Research (SSR). Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu desain ‘A-B-A’. Subjek penelitian merupakan anak dengan spektrum autis berumur 5 tahun di TK BPI Kota Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan sebanyak tiga fase dengan pencatatan kejadian. Fase baseline-1 (A-1) sebanyak 3 sesi, fase intervensi (B) sebanyak 9 sesi, fase baseline-2 (A-2) sebanyak 3 sesi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik aversi dapat menurunkan frekuensi menggigit buku pada anak autis. Hal tersebut didasarkan pada data hasil penelitian keseluruhan yang mana persentase mean level dalam tiap fase menurun, yaitu pada fase baseline-1 (A-1) 8,3, pada fase intervensi (B) mean level menurun pada 5,6, dan pada fase baseline-2 (A-2) mean level menurun mencapai 3. This study aims to examine the effect of implementing the aversion technique on reducing book-biting behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder at TK BPI, Bandung. The study was made because book-biting behavior can be harmful to children’s health and disrupt their daily routines. This research is an experimental method using a Single Subject Research (SSR) aproach wtih an ‘A-B-A’ design. The subject of the study was a 5 year old child with autism spectrum disorder ata TK BPI, Bandung. Data collection was carried out in three phases through event recording: baseline-1 (A-1) with 3 sessions, intervention (B) with 9 sessions, and baseline-2 (A-2) with 3 sessions. The result showed that the implementation of the aversion technique succesfully reduced the frequency of book-biting behavior in the child with autism. This was evidenced by the overall research data, in which the mean level percentage decreased across phases: in baseline-1 (A-1) the mean level was 8,3, in the intervention phase (B) it decreased to 5.6, and in baseline-2 (A-2) it further decreased to 3.
