Abstract
Penggunaan make-up dengan fungsi psikologis camouflage sebagai sarana untuk menyamarkan kekurangan fisik marak terjadi di kalangan remaja dan diduga berkaitan dengan self-esteem dengan penampilan wajah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menggambarkan profil self-esteem remaja pengguna make-up camouflage, serta menyusun rancangan layanan bimbingan kelompok untuk meningkatkan self-esteem. Penelitian ini menggunakan pedekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 33 siswi kelas X-XI SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung yang ditentukan melalui Teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengukuran self-esteem disusun oleh penulis berdasarkan modifikasi Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) yang dimodifikasi untuk mengevaluasi self-esteem pada aspek penampilan wajah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas siswi pengguna make-up camouflage memiliki self-esteem kategori sedang (63,6%) dan sebagian kategori rendah (36,4%). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa siswi pengguna make-up camouflage cenderung memiliki ketidakpuasan terhadap penampilan diri serta memerlukan dukungan dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri secara adaptif. Sebagai tindak lanjut, dirumuskan rancangan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik assertive training yang bertujuan membantu siswi mengembangkan self-esteem secara positif tanpa bergantung pada make-up. Kata Kunci: Harga Diri, Pengguna Make-up, Fungsi Psikologis Camouflage Using makeup with psychological camouflage functions as a means to conceal physical imperfections is prevalent among teenagers and is thought to be related to self-esteem and facial appearance. This study aims to describe the self-esteem profile of teenage makeup users who employ camouflage techniques, as well as to develop a group counseling service design to enhance self-esteem. The study employs a quantitative approach with a survey design. The research sample consists of 33 female students from grades X-XI at Pasundan 8 High School in Bandung, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The self-esteem measurement instrument was developed by the author based on a modified version of the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES), adapted to evaluate self esteem in terms of facial appearance. The results showed that the majority of female students using makeup camouflage had moderate self-esteem (63.6%) and a smaller proportion had low self-esteem (36.4%). These findings indicate that female students who use camouflage makeup tend to be dissatisfied with their appearance and require support in improving their self-confidence in an adaptive manner. As a follow-up, a group counseling service design using assertive training techniques was formulated to help female students develop positive self esteem without relying on makeup.
