    Abstract

    Pembelajaran seni tari di tingkat SMP sering kali masih berfokus pada penguasaan gerak secara teknis dan hafalan, sehingga kreativitas siswa kurang tergali secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran eksplorasi gerak dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Lemahabang, Kabupaten Cirebon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan tindakan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 38 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model eksplorasi gerak mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran, mendorong munculnya ide gerak baru yang orisinal, serta memperkuat ekspresi personal dalam menari. Terjadi peningkatan skor kreativitas siswa yang signifikan setelah implementasi model pembelajaran, baik dalam aspek fluency, flexibility, originality, dan elaboration. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, model eksplorasi gerak terbukti dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mendukung perkembangan potensi seni siswa dan mendukung pembelajaran seni tari yang lebih kreatif dan bermakna sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Kurikulum Merdeka. Dance education at the junior high school level often focuses primarily on technical mastery and memorization of movements, which limits the optimal development of students' creativity. This study aims to describe the implementation of a movement exploration learning model in enhancing the creativity of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Lemahabang, Cirebon Regency. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with an action-based approach. The subjects of the study were 38 eighth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, which were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The results showed that the implementation of the movement exploration model increased students’ active participation in learning, encouraged the emergence of original movement ideas, and strengthened personal expression in dance. A significant improvement was observed in students' creativity scores across the dimensions of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Based on these findings, the movement exploration model proves to be an effective alternative learning strategy to support the development of students' artistic potential and to promote a more creative and meaningful dance learning experience in line with the values of the Merdeka Curriculum.
