Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kompetensi mahasiswa dengan hasil studinya pada mata kuliah Algoritma dan Pemrograman. Penilaian kompetensi menekankan pada aspek kognitif meliputi kemampuan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan keterampilan. Data penelitian didapat dari nilai tes kompetensi mahasiswa dengan menggunakan aplikasi tes berbasis automated assessment yang telah dikembangkan oleh peneliti, dan kemudian dikorelasikan dengan nilai studi mata kuliah Algoritma dan Pemrograman. Sementara data penilaian aplikasi diperoleh dari kuesioner yang dirancang berdasarkan standar ISO 9126 tentang penilaian aplikasi dan Web Based Learning Environment Instrument (WEBLEI). Dari hasil penelitian didapat bahwa (1) terdapat korelasi positif namun tidak signifikan antara kompetensi mahasiswa dengan nilai akhir mata kuliah Algoritma dan Pemrograman dalam pembelajaran kelas; (2) terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan namun dengan tingkat hubungan yang lemah antara kompetensi mahasiswa dengan nilai mata kuliah Algoritma dan Pemrograman dalam pembelajaran praktikum; (3) terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan dengan tingkat hubungan sedang antara kompetensi mahasiswa dengan nilai mata kuliah Algoritma dan Pemrograman dalam pembelajaran praktikum sesuai dengan ketercapaian materi; (4) aspek kemampuan pemrograman memiliki korelasi tertinggi diantara ketiga aspek yang diukur, baik terhadap pembelajaran kelas maupun pembelajaran praktikum. Kemudian untuk tingkat kompetensi mahasiswa didapat bahwa 14,08% berpredikat dasar, 56,34% berpredikat menengah, dan 29,58% berpredikat mahir. Sementara itu, aplikasi yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi standar kelayakan dengan nilai persentase 81,06%. Kata Kunci: Kompetensi, Automated Assessment, Algoritma, Pemrograman.   The purpose of this research is to find the correlation between students’ competence and the result of their study in Algorithm and Programming course. Competence assessment is focused on cognitive aspect such as knowledge, understanding, and skill. Research data is obtained from students’ competency test score using automated based test application that has been developed by researcher, and then compared with Algorithm and Programming course score. The assessment score of application is obtained from questionnaire which is designed based on ISO 9126 standard about application assessment and Web Based Learning Environment Instrument (WEBLEI). The results of research are (1) there is a positive correlation but not significant between students’ competence and the final score of Algorithm and Programming course in the classroom learning aspect; (2) there is a positive and significant correlation but weak between students’ competence and the final score of Algorithm and Programming course in the practical aspect; (3) there is a positive and significant correlation in medium level between students’ competence and the final score of Algorithm and Programming course in the practical aspect accordance to the topics that have been finished; (4) programming skill aspect has the highest correlation among these three aspects are measured, both on the classroom learning and practical learning. The result of students’ competence are 14.08% of students get basic predicate, 56.34% of students get intermediate predicate, and 29.58% of students get advance predicate. Then, the application that has been developed meet the standard of eligibility with percentage of 81.06%. Kata Kunci: Competency, Automated Assessment, Algorithm, Programming.
