Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran SPADE (Singing, Playing, Analyzing, Discussion, Evaluation) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep penjumlahan susun kebawah pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi pada rendahnya hasil asesmen numerasi yang dilakukan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan,Riset, dan Teknologi dan banyaknya siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi dalam memahami penjumlahan bersusun, terutama dalam membedakan nilai tempat satuan dan puluhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen tipe one group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa di salah satu SD di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas II di salah satu SD di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes berupa soal uraian pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji-t berpasangan, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 22,8 meningkat menjadi 92,1 pada posttest. Uji Hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Hasil N-Gain sebesar 0,89 tergolong dalam kategori tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran SPADE efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep penjumlahan susun kebawah pada siswa sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Model SPADE, Pemahaman Konsep, Penjumlahan Susun Kebawah, Matematika, Sekolah Dasar This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the SPADE learning model (Singing, Playing, Analyzing, Discussion, Evaluation) in improving students’ conceptual understanding of vertical (stacked) addition in elementary school. The background of this research is based on national assessment results showing low numeracy skills among elementary students, as well as frequent misconceptions regarding place value, particularly in distinguishing between ones and tens in addition problems. The research method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental design of the one-group pretest-posttest type. The sample consisted of 20 second-grade students at an elementary school in West Bandung Regency. Data was collected using essay-form pretests and posttests, and analyzed through normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain tests. The results showed that the average pretest score of 22.8 increased to 92.1 in the posttest. The t-test revealed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The N-Gain value was 0.89, categorized as high. These findings demonstrate that the SPADE learning model is effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of vertical addition in elementary mathematics.
