    Abstract

    Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an sejak dini, sebagai salah satu cara memberantas buta huruf Al-Qur’an sejak dini di masyarakat. Dewan Masjid Indonesia menyampaikan bahwa 65% masyarakat Indonesia buta huruf atau tidak bisa membaca Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an anak usia dini di lembaga TK At-Taqwa melalui pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode Wafa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bersifat kolaboratif bersama guru kelas. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini anak-anak kelompok B yang berjumlah 11 orang dengan 3 anak laki-laki dan 8 anak perempuan. Teknik analisis pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga siklus dengan enam kali tindakan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an anak dengan menerapkan metode Wafa dalam pengenalannya pada huruf-huruf hijaiyah. Pada kondisi awal kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an anak masih rendah yakni sebanyak 81,81% termasuk kategori Belum Berkembang (BB) dan 18,18% termasuk kategori Mulai Berkembang (MB). Setelah adanya pembelajaran Al-Qur’an dengan menerapkan metode Wafa terlihat mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 72,72% anak termasuk kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut bahwa pembelajaran Al-Qur’an melalui metode Wafa dapat dilaksanakan sebagai alternatif serta metode yang komprehensif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an untuk anak usia dini. Kata Kunci: anak usia dini, kemampuan membaca al-qur’an, metode Wafa The background of this study is based on the importance of developing the ability to read the Qur'an from an early age, as one way to eradicate illiteracy of the Qur'an from an early age in society. The Indonesian Mosque Council stated that 65% of Indonesian people are illiterate or cannot read the Qur'an. This study aims to develop the ability to read the Qur'an of early childhood children at the At-Taqwa Kindergarten through learning by implementing the Wafa method. This study uses a qualitative approach with a collaborative classroom action research (CAR) method with class teachers. Participants in this study were 11 children in group B with 3 boys and 8 girls. Data collection analysis techniques through interviews, observations, field notes and documentation. This study was conducted for three cycles with six actions. The results showed an increase in children's ability to read the Qur'an by applying the Wafa method in introducing them to the hijaiyah letters. In the initial condition, children's ability to read the Qur'an was still low, namely 81.81% included in the Not Yet Developing (BB) category and 18.18% included in the Starting to Develop (MB) category. After learning the Qur'an by implementing the Wafa method, there was an increase of 72.72% of children including the Very Well Developing (BSB) category. Based on the results of the study, learning the Qur'an through the Wafa method can be implemented as an alternative and comprehensive method in developing the ability to read the Qur'an for early childhood.
