Abstract
Mondegreen adalah persepsi pesan verbal melalui lirik lagu yang salah didengar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teori Balmer berdasarkan IPA, Sound Indexing System, Sonority Principle, Maximum Onset Principle dan pendekatan Metrical Segmentation yang menyatakan bahwa lirik lagu aslinya ambigu secara fonetis dan keambiguitas fonetik ini kemudian memicu kondisi Mondegreen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana realisasi fonetik dan sistem fonologi Mondegreen serta mengamati hasil pola yang dihasilkannya. Data penelitian ini diambil dari wawancara studi kasus 50 siswa sekolah dasar dari dua sekolah yaitu SD Muhammadiyah 4 dan SD Pelita Nusantara di kecamatan Sukajadi dengan mengaitkan lagu 'Senam PGRI dalam hitungan' pada kanal Youtube Oky Permadi sebagai sampel Mondegreen. Selanjutnya, lagu tersebut kemudian menghasilkan kemungkinan hasil pola fenomena Mondegreen dan dianalisis secara sistematis berdasarkan teori yang tersedia. Adapun hasilnya, penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat tiga puluh empat data dari tiga belas siswa terpilih yang kemudian menghasilkan tiga belas temuan bisa dikorelasikan untuk mengungkap mondegreen melalui PAH dengan tujuh polanya, kemudian tujuh temuan melalui sonority wave dengan enam polanya, selanjutnya terdapat satu temuan melalui MOP dengan satu polanya, dan enam temuan melalui MSS dengan tiga polanya, yang terakhir adalah lima belas temuan yang tidak bisa dijelaskan melalui pendekatan teori Balmer. Kata Kunci : batas kata, mondegreen, pelafalan, stress kata. Mondegreen is concerned with how the listener recovers the song lyrics and why he or she mishears them. This research will use the International Phonetic Alphabet, Sound Indexing System, Sonority Principle, Maximum Onset Principle as well as the Metrical Segmentation approach to probability, which states that the original song's lyrics are phonetically ambiguous and that this phonetic ambiguity then triggers the act of Mondegreen. The goal of this study is to discover how Mondegreen occurs, how it is percieved, and what phonetic pattern results from the Mondegreen. This research data was be taken from interviewed with 50 students of Muhammadiyah 4 and Pelita Nusantara primary school in Sukajadi district, and the song under examination will be ‘Senam PGRI dalam hitungan’ song in Oky Permadi Youtube channel. As a result, this study shows that there are thirty-four data from thirteen selected students which then produce thirteen findings that can be correlated to reveal mondegreen through PAH with seven patterns, then seven findings through sonority wave with six patterns, then there is one finding through MOP with one pattern, and six findings through MSS with three patterns, the latter are fifteen findings that cannot be explained through the approach of Balmer's theory.
