Abstract

This research aims to explore the results of implementing religious Modern culture has lost its deep understanding of spirituality. As a result, we live our lives without a sense of fundamental meaning, leading to low levels of religious intelligence. This research aims to explore the implementation of religious intelligence-based learning in mosque youth extracurricular activities by focusing on the development of credibility, rituals, morality, social skills, and tolerance. This study adopts a mixed-methods approach. Observations revealed that, in the initial stages, extracurricular activities were not fully aligned with the goal of developing religious intelligence, as they were still focused on religious symbolism rather than substantive understanding. However, when learning activities were redesigned to incorporate religious intelligence principles, several challenges emerged that needed to be addressed. The evaluation results demonstrated that students achieved the "Religious Smart" level, indicating the effectiveness of this approach in fostering the formation of noble character. However, the "Tolerance" aspect received the lowest score in the assessment, highlighting the need for further emphasis in this area. Moreover, two critical factors were identified as key to the success of religious intelligence-based learning: (1) Substantive learning materials, & (2) Understanding students’ needs and challenges through their daily journals.
