Abstract

Deiksis berperan penting membantu mitra tutur memahami referensi yang dimaksud oleh seorang penutur untuk mencapai komunikasi yang efektif. Sementara itu fungsi bahasa berperan penting dalam menganalisis berbagai aspek komunikasi verbal yang terjadi dalam sebuah penuturan. Penelitian ini bertujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan deiksis dalam webtoon Korea Yumi's Cells, dengan fokus pada penggunaan deiksis dan fungsi bahasanya berdasarkan teori deiksis Yule dan teori fungsi bahasa Jakobson. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang menghasilkan data 245 tuturan dari episode 0–25. Hasil penelitian ini memuat deiksis pronomina orang pertama tunggal sebanyak 80 buah (32%) ditemukan lebih banyak dibandingkan jenis deiksis lainnya. Deiksis waktu proximal sebanyak 59 buah (24%), deiksis persona orang kedua tunggal sebanyak 29 buah (12%), deiksis orang pertama jamak sebanyak 19 buah (8%), deiksis waktu distal sebanyak 19 buah (8%), deiksis persona orang kedua jamak sebanyak 13 buah (5,3%), deiksis tempat proximal sebanyak 12 buah (5%). Deiksis orang ketinga jamak sebanyak 8 buah (3,3%), deiksis persona orang ketiga tunggal sebanyak 4 buah (2%) dan deiksis tempat semi-proximal sebanyak 0,4%. Kemudian fungsi bahasa yang paling umum ditemukan adalah fungsi eferensial, dengan penggunaan sebanyak 117 buah, fungsi bahasa emotif sebanyak 52 buah, fungsi bahasa konatif sebanyak 67 buah dan fungsi bahasa fatis sebanyak 9 buah. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan penggunaan deiksis pronomina orang pertama tunggal sering digunakan oleh pengarang untuk merepresentasikan karakter berdasarkan pemikiran atau pengalaman mereka dalam cerita, sehingga pembaca dapat terhubung dengan tokoh tersebut. Selain itu, fungsi referensial sering dimanfaatkan oleh pengarang untuk memberikan informasi tentang orientasi cerita, seperti latar belakang dan deskripsi tokoh, serta membentuk latar dan alur pada cerita.  Deixis is a branch of pragmatics that studies expressions or contexts present in speech. Understanding deixis is essential for achieving effective communication, especially in the contexts of speech, to help the utterances partner understand the reference intended by the speaker. Meanwhile, the functions of language are used to analyzed various aspects of verbal communication. This research is aims to investigate the use of deixis in the Korean webtoon “Yumi’s Cell”, focusing on on the use of deixis and its language functions based on Yule deixis theory and language functions theory, this descriptive qualitative study analyzes 245 utterances from episodes 0-25. The results of this study show that the singular first-person pronominal deixis occurs 80 times (32%), which is more frequent compared to other types of deixis. Proximal time deixis appears 59 times (24%), singular second-person pronominal deixis appears 29 times (12%), plural first-person deixis occurs 19 times (8%), distal time deixis occurs 19 times (8%), plural second-person pronominal deixis occurs 13 times (5.3%), and proximal place deixis appears 12 times (5%). Plural third-person pronominal deixis occurs 8 times (3.3%), singular third-person pronominal deixis appears 4 times (2%), and semi-proximal place deixis occurs 0.4%. From these results, the use of singular first-person pronoun deixis is often employed by the author to represent characters based on their thoughts or experiences in the story for the readers. And the referential function is frequently used by the author to provide information about the story's orientation, such as background and character descriptions, as well as to construct the setting and plot of the narrative. 직시는 화용론의 한 분야로, 발화에 나타나는 표현이나 맥락을 연구한다. 본 연구는 한국 웹툰 유미의 세포들에서 나타난 직시 사용과 그 언어 기능을 조사하는데 목표 목적을 둔다. Yule의 직시 이론과 Jakobson 의 언어 기능 이론을 바탕으로 한 이 기술적 질적 연구는 제 0~25회에서 245개의 발화를 분석하였다. 단수 1인칭 대명사 (80개)가 다른 직시보다 더 많이 발견되었다. 반면, 가장 일반적인 언어 기능은 참조 기능으로, 117개의 사례가 발견되었다. 이 결과로부터, 단수 1인칭 대명사 직시는 작가가 독자들에게 이야기 속 캐릭터를 그들의 생각이나 경험에 기반하여 표현하기 위해 자주 사용된다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한, 참조 기능은 작가가 이야기의 방향성, 즉 배경과 캐릭터 묘사와 같은 정보를 제공하거나 이야기의 배경과 줄거리를 구성하기 위해 자주 사용한다는 것으로 보였다.
