Abstract
Religiusitas substantif merupakan religiusitas yang menekankan pada makna, penerapan ajaran dan nilai-nilai agama secara mendalam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pendidikan agama memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter dan nilai-nilai moral siswa. Namun dalam praktiknya, seringkali Guru PAI terlalu berfokus pada pembiasaan praktik keagamaan tanpa pemberian pemahaman esensial. Maka dari itu, diperlukan upaya yang relevan agar pembelajaran PAI yang dilakukan dapat menanamkan religiusitas yang substantif dan bukan hanya simbolis kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengevaluasi bagaimana pengaruh upaya Guru PAI dalam menanamkan religiusitas substantif siswa di SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bandung. Untuk membedah persoalan tersebut penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran dengan metode campuran sekuensial/bertahap jenis strategi eksploratoris sekuensial guna mengetahui perubahan religiusitas substantif siswa setelah dilakukan pembelajaran PAI berbasis pengembangan kesadaran keagamaan sebagai upaya Guru PAI dalam menanamkan religiusitas substantif siswa di SMP. Dalam pengumpulan data digunakan angket tertutup dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial yang dibantu aplikasi IBM SPSS versi 26. Sebelum diterapkannya pembelajaran PAI berbasis pengembangan kesadaran keagamaan, hasil rata-rata pretest kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori “Sedang”. Setelah diterapkannya pembelajaran PAI berbasis pengembangan kesadaran keagamaan, terdapat perbedaan hasil rata-rata posttest religiusitas substantif secara signifikan pada kelas eksperimen. Pada kelas eksperimen siswa memiliki kategori “Tinggi” melalui peningkatan tersebut jika dibandingkan dengan persentase N-Gain yang ditemukan sebesar 71,64 maka didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa pengembangan kesadaran keagamaan menggunakan metode targhib wa tarhib dan kisah sebagai upaya Guru PAI terbukti “Cukup Efektif” dalam menanamkan religiusitas substantif siswa. Substantive religiosity emphasizes the deep meaning and application of religious teachings and values in daily life. Religious education plays a very important role in shaping students' character and moral values. However, in practice, PAI (Islamic Education) teachers often focus too much on the habituation of religious practices without providing essential understanding. Therefore, relevant efforts are needed to ensure that PAI learning can instill substantive religiosity, not just symbolic religiosity, in students. This research aims to understand and evaluate the influence of PAI teachers' efforts in instilling substantive religiosity in students at SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bandung. To explore this issue, the study uses a mixed-methods approach with a sequential exploratory strategy to understand changes in students' substantive religiosity after PAI learning, which is based on developing religious awareness as an effort by PAI teachers to instill substantive religiosity in students. Data was collected using closed-ended questionnaires, and the data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential analysis techniques, assisted by IBM SPSS version 26. Before the implementation of PAI learning based on religious awareness development, the average pretest results for the control and experimental classes were in the "Medium" category. After the implementation of PAI learning based on religious awareness development, there was a significant difference in the average posttest results for substantive religiosity in the experimental class. In the experimental class, students fell into the "High" category, with an improvement of 71.64% based on the N-Gain percentage. This led to the conclusion that developing religious awareness using the targhib wa tarhib and storytelling methods as part of the PAI teachers' efforts was "Quite Effective" in instilling substantive religiosity in students.
