Muhammad Amry Fauzan, - (2024) EFEKTIVITAS MEDIA KARTU PERMAINAN SEKATA DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN PESERTA DIDIK FASE A SEKOLAH DASAR DI KELURAHAN CIPAYUNG. S1 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Abstract
This research is motivated by students who have not mastered the skills of beginning reading perfectly. Difficulties in reading skills will affect learning activities that rely on language in conveying material. The factors that cause undeveloped beginning reading skills are physiological, intellectual, environmental, and psychological factors in students. Based on this, this study aims to describe the improvement of phase A learners' beginning reading skills before and after using the Sekata game card media. The data collection technique was conducted using a pretest and posttest in the form of an oral test. This research used a quantitative method with a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of one group pretest-posttest. The subjects in this study were 24 grade I learners in one elementary school in Cipayung village, East Jakarta. The Sekata game card media is effective in improving the beginning reading skills of phase A learners. Through the Wilcoxon test results, the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000. With the decision rule of the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value is smaller than 0.05, and H0 is rejected. The level of effectiveness is evidenced by the N-Gain test of 0.6655 which is in the moderately effective criteria.
