Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya siswa yang masih belum terbiasa dengan pembelajaran student centred learning yang melibatkan mereka secara aktif dalam pembelajaran, kurangnya peran aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran ini membuat pemahaman konsep siswa kurang maksimal terutama pada pembelajaran IPA yang bersifat abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur, menganalisis, dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik berbantuan permainan pos berangkai untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA materi wujud zat dan perubahannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 27 siswa kelas IV salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Hal ini berdasar pada hasil uji perbedaan rerata yang menunjukkan signifikansi (0,000), kemudian hasil uji N-gain menunjukkan keefektifan sebesar 0,6210 atau 62,10%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik berbantuan permainan pos berangkai cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA materi wujud zat dan perubahannya siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.
This study is motivated by the number of students who are still not accustomed to student-centered learning that involves them actively in learning, the lack of active role of students in this learning makes students understanding of concepts less than optimal, especially in abstract science learning. This study aims to measure, analyze, and describe the effectiveness of the scientific approach aided by a posts game to improve understanding of the concept of science material form of substance and its changes. The method used in this research is quantitative with a one group pretest-posttest pre experimental research design. The sample in this study were 27 fourth grade students from one of the public elementary schools in Bandung City. The results in this study indicate a significant average difference between pretest and posttest. This is based on the results of the mean difference test which shows significance (0.000), then the N-gain test results show effectiveness of 0.6210 or 62.10%. So it can be concluded that the scientific approach aided by the game post is effective enough to improve understanding of the concept of science material on the form of substances and their changes in grade IV elementary school students.
