Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi hal yang sangat penting pada abad ke-21, namun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis. Pertama, hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa dalam mengembangkan media Flipbook peneliti menggunakan prosedur penelitian model D&D yang mengacu pada Peffers. Tahap pengembangannya yaitu identify the problem, describe the objectives, design & develop the artifact, test the artifact, evaluate testing result, dan communicate the testing result. Kedua, kelayakan media divalidasi oleh ahli media, materi, bahasa dan ahli pembelajaran yang menunjukkan bahwa media layak digunakan dengan hasil realiabel dan nilai validitas yang baik dengan adanya langkah perbaikan. Ketiga, respon pengguna menunjukkan bahwa media flipbook baik digunakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan kriteria yang sudah ditentukan sebelumnya. Keempat, hasil analis menunjukkan bahwa media flipbook dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjaun dari nilai N-gain. Media flipbook berorientasi model PBL dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, karena indikator disusun berdasarkan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis. Selain itu respon dalam proses judgemet dijadikan bahan perbaikan sehingga pengembangan media menjadi lebih baik. Hal ini mengindisikan bahwa untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, diperlukan suatu media flipbook yang disusun berdasarkan tahap pengembangan serta melibatkan proses uji coba secara langsung. -------- Critical thinking skills are very important in the 21st century, but research shows that students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia are still relatively low. This study aims to develop a learning media to train critical thinking skills. First, the results showed that in developing Flipbook media, researchers used the D&D model research procedure that refers to Peffers. The development stages are identify the problem, describe the objectives, design & develop the artifact, test the artifact, evaluate testing results, and communicate the testing results. Second, the feasibility of the media was validated by media, material, language and learning experts who showed that the media was feasible to use with reliable results and good validity values with corrective steps. Third, user responses show that flipbook media is good to use to develop students' critical thinking skills based on predetermined criteria. Fourth, the results of the analysis show that flipbook media can train students' critical thinking skills based on the N-gain value. PBL model-oriented flipbook media can train students' critical thinking skills, because the indicators are compiled based on critical thinking skills indicators. In addition, the responses in the judgemet process are used as material for improvement so that media development becomes better. This indicates that to train students' critical thinking skills, a flipbook media is needed which is prepared based on the development stage and involves a direct trial process.
