Abstract

------------ This research is motivated by the current educational challenges in facing technological developments through robotic activities to develop the creativity of elementary school students. The objectives of this study are to (1) describe the management of extracurricular robotics in elementary schools in the aspects of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising, (2) describe student participation in extracurricular robotics activities towards developing their creativity, (3) describe the process of student creativity in extracurricular robotics activities. This research applied a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, and document studies. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The results showed that SD A and SD B have implemented the four functions of extracurricular robotics management well, but still need to perform the functions of planning and organizing. Analysis of the student creativity process shows that both schools need to focus more on developing the elaboration aspect of the mind to optimize student creativity.
