Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini bermula dari capaian pembelajaran pada kurikulum merdeka fase B diantaranya peserta didik mampu menulis teks deskripsi dengan rangkaian kalimat yang beragam, informasi yang rinci dan akurat dengan topik yang beragam. Namun, peneliti mendapatkan bahwa pembelajaran menulis lebih sering menggunakan buku teks. Maka dari itu, sumber belajar lainnya perlu dicobakan, apakah berdampak baik atau tidak. Menurut beberapa teori dan penelitian terdahulu, lingkungan sekolah memiliki peluang dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar untuk menulis teks deskripsi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti ingin membuktikan apakah terdapat pengaruh lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest design dengan melibatkan 19 peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar. Hipotesis penelitian ini yakni: H0 = tidak terdapat pengaruh lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi, dan Ha = terdapat pengaruh lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi, dengan menggunakan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 12,53, nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 16,68 dengan nilai thitung 9,289 lebih besar dari ttabel 2,101, dan nilai Sig. 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hal tersebut berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi.
The background to this research begins with learning outcomes in the independent curriculum phase B, including students being able to write descriptive texts with a variety of sentences, detailed and accurate information on various topics. However, researchers found that learning to write more often uses textbooks. Therefore, other learning sources need to be tried, whether they have good impact or not. According to several theories and previous research, the school environment has opportunity to be used as a learning resource for writing descriptive texts. Based on this, the researcher wants to prove whether there is an influence of the school environment as a learning resource on descriptive text writing skills. This research is a quantitative research with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design method involving 19 grade IV elementary school students. The hypotheses of this research are: H0 = there is no influence of the school environment as a learning source on descriptive text writing skills, and Ha = there is an influence of the school environment as a learning source on descriptive text writing skills, using significance level of 0.05. The research results showed that the average pretest value was 12.53, the average posttest value was 16.68 with a calculated tvalue of 9.289 greater than the ttable of 2.101, and Sig. 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the school environment as a learning source on descriptive text writing skills.
