Abstract

Media adalah perantara dengan berbagai macam bentuk yang seringkali digunakan oleh
seseorang untuk menyebarkan ide yang dimiliki agar dapat disampaikan kepada penerima ide. Media
pembelajaran adalah alat bantu mengajar dalam komponen metodologi yang diatur oleh guru untuk
menata lingkungan belajarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan
media kuis tepuk terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan
menggunakan desain penelitian Cross Sectional Survey. Variabel pada penelitian ini ialah media
kuis tepuk sebagai variabel bebas dan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Subjek pada penelitian
ini yaitu dua kelas yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebagai kelas eksperimen
yaitu kelas X-A dan kelas X-D. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa
angket/kuisioner. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Motivasi belajar siswa kelas X-D menunjukkan perbedaan
yang signifikan pada nilai pre-test dan post-test. Skor indikator tertinggi motivasi belajar berada pada
indikator adanya harapan dan cita-cita masa depan. 2) Motivasi belajar siswa kelas X-A menunjukkan
perbedaan yang tidak signifikan pada nilai pre-test dan post-test. Skor indikator tertinggi motivasi
belajar berada pada indikator adanya kegiatan yang menarik dalam belajar. 3) Mengacu kepada hasil
uji-t nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 < probabilitas 0,05 dan nilai thitung sebesar 8,177 dan nilai ttabel
sebesar 1,671 dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kuis tepuk memberikan pengaruh terhadap motivasi
belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen secara signifikan. Media kuis tepuk memberikan pengaruh positif
terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Geografi. Guru dapat memanfaatkan media kuis
tepuk untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses kegiatan belajar mengajar pada mata pelajaran Geografi.

Media is an intermediary with various forms that are often used by a person to disseminate
their ideas so that they can be conveyed to the recipient of the idea. Learning media is a teaching aid
in the methodological component that is regulated by teachers to organize their learning environment.
The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the use of clap quiz media on students'
learning motivation. This study uses a survey method using a Cross Sectional Survey research
design. The variables in this study are the media of the applause quiz as an independent variable and
learning motivation as a bound variable. The subjects in this study are two classes that were selected
using the purposive sampling technique as experimental classes, namely class X-A and class X-D.
The instrument used in this study is in the form of a questionnaire. The analysis of research data used
normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results of the study showed that: 1) The learning
motivation of students in grades X-D showed significant differences in pre-test and post-test scores.
The highest indicator score of learning motivation is in the indicator of future hopes and ideals. 2)
The learning motivation of students in class X-A showed insignificant differences in pre-test and
post-test scores. The score of the highest indicator of learning motivation is in the indicator of
interesting activities in learning. 3) Referring to the results of the t-test, the significance value of 0.001
< probability of 0.05 and the tcount value of 8.177 and the ttable value of 1.671 can be concluded that
the clap quiz media has a significant influence on the learning motivation of students in the
experimental class. The media of the clapping quiz has a positive influence on students' learning
motivation in the subject of Geography. Teachers can use the media of the slap quiz to increase the
effectiveness of the teaching and learning process in Geography subjects.
