Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya keterampilan berbicara siswa SD. Kekurangan tersebut terlihat dari masih banyaknya siswa yang kurang percaya diri ketika melakukan kegiatan berbicara di depan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model paired storytelling berbantuan media video animasi dan gambar seri terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas III SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 16 siswa pada setiap kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes dan non-tes. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa model paired storytelling berbantuan media video animasi dan gambar seri memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas III SD. Hal itu dibuktikan dari adanya kenaikan nilai keterampilan berbicara siswa saat pre-test dan post-tes. Pada pre-test kelas eksperimen didapat skor rata-rata 47,26 dan mengalami peningkatan setelah adanya perlakuan dengan model paired storytelling berbantuan media video animasi, skor rata-rata yang didapatkan pada saat post-test yaitu 71,48, sedangkan pada pre-test kelas kontrol didapat skor rata-rata 43,74 dan mengalami peningkatan stetelah adanya perlakuan dengan model paired storytelling berbantuan media gambar seri, skor rata-rata yang didapatkan pada saat post-test kelas kontrol yaitu 64,45. Meskipun demikian, uji independent sampel t-test tidak mengindikasi adanya perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan model paired storytelling berbantuan media video animasi dan gambar seri terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa. Dengan demikian, dikatakan bahwa penerapan model paired storytelling berbantuan media video animasi dan penerapan model paired storytelling berbantuan media gambar seri dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa pada kelas III SD pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia.

This study was motivated by the lack of speaking skills of elementary school students. The deficiency can be seen from the number of students who lack confidence when doing speaking activities in front of the class. This study aims to determine the effect of paired storytelling model assisted by animated video
media and series pictures on speaking skills of third grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 16 students in each experimental and control group. The research instruments used tests and non-tests. The results of data analysis showed that the paired storytelling model assisted by animated video media and serial images had a significant effect on the speaking skills of third grade elementary school students. This is evidenced by the increase in the value of students' speaking skills during the pre-test and post-test. In the experimental class pre-test, the average score was 47.26 and increased after treatment with the paired
storytelling model assisted by animated video media, the average score obtained during the post-test was 71.48. Meanwhile, the control class pre-test obtained an average score of 43.74 and experienced an increase after treatment with the paired storytelling model assisted by serial image media, the average
score obtained during the control class post-test was 64.45. However, the independent sample t-test did not indicate any significant difference in the effect between the use of paired storytelling model assisted by animated video media and series pictures on students' speaking skills. Thus, it is said that the
application of paired storytelling model assisted by animated video media and the application of paired storytelling model assisted by series drawing media can have a positive influence on students' speaking skills in grade III elementary school in Indonesian language subjects.
