Abstract

Numerasi merupakan kemampuan penting yang didasarkan pada pemahaman konsep matematika, pemecahan masalah dalam konteks dunia nyata dan pengembangan berpikir kritis. Disamping itu, guru juga perlu mempertimbangkan aspek afektif yaitu resiliensi matematis, yang merupakan sikap individu untuk memiliki keyakinan dan kepercayaan diri dalam mengatasi kesulitan dan hambatan yang dihadapi. Meskipun penting, kemampuan numerasi dan resiliensi matematis di Indonesia belum memuaskan. Rendahnya kemampuan numerasi disebabkan peserta didik kurang bisa memahami informasi-informasi yang terdapat pada soal dan sulit menganalisa soal yang diujikan, yang berdampak pada kecemasan yang mengakibatkan hilang rasa percaya diri yang berujung tidak mau berusaha lebih keras atau menyerah saat menghadapi kesulitan dalam penyelesaian masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai dampak dan efektifitas pembelajaran Realistic Mathmetics Education (RME) terhadap peningkatan numerasi dan resiliensi matematis peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Pada penelitian ini sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 56 peserta didik sekolah dasar di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan numerasi dan resiliensi matematis, antara peserta didik yang menerapkan pembelajaran RME dan pembelajaran lansung; 2) Pembelajaran RME memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan numerasi dan resiliensi matematis peserta didik; 3) Resiliensi matematis juga memiliki pengaruh positif dan kolerasi terhadap peningkatan numerasi peserta didik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran RME merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi dan resiliensi matematis peserta didik sehingga pembelajaran RME dapat menjadi salah satu solusi yang dapat direkomendasikan kepada guru untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Numeracy is an important skill that is based on understanding mathematical concepts, solving problems in real-world contexts and developing critical thinking. Apart from that, teachers also need to consider the affective aspect, namely mathematical resilience, which is an individual's attitude to have confidence and self-confidence in overcoming the difficulties and obstacles they face. Even though it is important, numeracy skills and mathematical resilience in Indonesia are not yet satisfactory. Low numeracy skills are caused by students not being able to understand the information contained in the questions and having difficulty analyzing the questions being tested, which has an impact on anxiety which results in loss of self-confidence which leads to not wanting to try harder or giving up when facing difficulties in solving problems.. This research aims to assess the impact and effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning on increasing the numeracy and mathematical resilience of students in elementary schools. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. In this study, the sample used was 56 elementary school students in Bandung City. The results of this research show that 1) There are significant differences in achievement and improvement in numeracy skills and mathematical resilience, between students who apply RME learning and direct learning; 2) RME learning has a positive influence on students' numeracy abilities and mathematical resilience; 3) Mathematical resilience also has a positive and correlated influence on increasing students' numeracy. So it can be concluded that RME learning is a mathematics learning approach that can improve students' numeracy skills and mathematical resilience so that RME learning can be a solution that can be recommended to teachers to be applied in the learning process.
