Abstract

Peran ganda wanita sebagai ibu dan pekerja memberikan beragam problema.
Masa tumbuh kembang terbaik anak pada saat usia dini yang mana
memerlukan pendampingan dari keluarga. Keterbatasan waktu untuk bekerja
dan mengasuh menjadikan ibu bekerja memilih bantuan pengasuhan sebagai
rasa tanggung jawabnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi
ibu bekerja yang memiliki anak usia dini dari segi pengasuhan. Dengan
menggunakan penelitian kualitatif metode wawancara terpusat, data
dikumpulkan dengan wawancara dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) alasan ibu bekerja utamanya faktor
ekonomi dan didukung oleh faktor lain yang mana keputusan tersebut adalah
keputusan bersama dengan pasangan dengan mempertimbangkan lingkungan
pekerjaan ibu; 2) Ibu bekerja memutuskan untuk meminta bantuan
pengasuhan dengan kriteria tertentu dan dievaluasi untuk kebaikan
pengasuhan anak; 3) Terdapat kekhawatiran ketika menitipkan anak ke
pengasuh dan hal ini dapat diatasi dengan pengontrolan secara berkala; 4) Ibu
bekerja merasa bersalah karena keterbatasan waktu dan mengupayakan
pengaturan waktu yang baik untuk anak ketika libur bekerja; 5) Keputusan
bekerja dan mengasuh anak saling mempengaruhi keduanya dan ini
menimbulkan dilema untuk berhenti atau lanjut bekerja.

The dual role of women as mothers and workers presents various problems.
The best period of a child's development is during the early years, which
requires family support. The time constraints of work and childcare lead
working mothers to choose childcare assistance as their responsibility. This
study aimed to analyze the perceptions of working mothers with early
childhood in terms of parenting. Using a qualitative research method of
centralized interviews, data was collected through interviews and analyzed
descriptively. The research findings indicate that: 1) The main reason for
working mothers is primarily economic factors, supported by other factors,
and the decision is made together with their partners, considering the mother's
work environment; 2) Working mothers decide to seek parenting assistance
based on certain criteria and evaluate it for the well-being of the child; 3)
There is concern when entrusting the child to a caregiver, and this can be
overcome through regular supervision; 4) Working mothers feel guilty due to
time constraints and strive for effective time management for their child
during time off from work; 5) The decision to work and care for the child
mutually influences each other, creating a dilemma to either stop or continue
working.
