Abstract

Homeschooling Putra Gama (HSPG) is a non-formal education that is currently organizing equivalency education in BSD, South Tangerang. In reality, HSPG BSD is still not optimal in implementing the equivalency education curriculum. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Package B curriculum at HSPG BSD, by looking at the compatibility between the implementation and applicable government regulations. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The evaluation model used is the IPO Model. The evaluation criteria in this study, a qualitative criteria, were compiled with reference to various government policies related to the implementation of the equivalency education curriculum. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, documents, and artifacts. The selection of participants was carried out by using purposive sampling technique. Data validity test was carried out using triangulation techniques. The results showed that the input components, qualifications and competency of PKBM managers, students, funding, and parental involvement in the education process met the criteria. While the qualifications and competence of tutors, curriculum, as well as the facilities and infrastructure do not match the criteria. In the process component, aspects of organizing the curriculum and implementing learning do not match the criteria. While the aspects of lesson planning and learning evaluation do not match the criteria. In the output component, the achievement aspects of student learning outcomes do not match the criteria. There are still many aspects that do not meet these criteria due to at least two things, the wrong perception of non-formal education and poor management of education. Another weakness in the implementation of the equivalency education curriculum at HSPG BSD is the lack of treatment for students with special needs.
