Abstract
ABSTRAK Sekolah adalah rumah kedua bagi siswa dalam menghabiskan sebagian besar waktunya. Oleh sebab itu penting bagi siswa merasakan kesejahteraan ketika berada di sekolah karena semakin baik kesejahteraan siswa maka akan semakin baik pula performa akademik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peran iklim sekolah dan dukungan sosial sebagai prediktor kesejahteraan siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP umum (tidak berbasis agama), baik negeri maupun swasta di Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat pada siswa kelas 7, 8 dan 9. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 382 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga instrumen yang disesuaikan yaitu instrumen untuk mengukur iklim sekolah, dukungan sosial dan kesejahteraan siswa. Persepsi siswa tentang iklim sekolah diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen Education Department School Climate Survey (EDSCLS). Dukungan sosial diukur menggunakan instrumen Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS) dan kesejahteraan siswa diukur menggunakan instrumen Multidimensional Students' Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS) instrument. Reliabilitas instrumen adaptasi dalam penelitian ini dihitung dengan menggunakan Rasch Model yang terdapat pada aplikasi Winstep. Nilai alpha cronbach (α) pada instrumen Education Department School Climate Survey (EDSCLS) adalah 0,95. (α) 0,97 pada instrumen Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS) dan (α) 0,93 pada instrumen Multidimensional Students' Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS). Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa persepsi siswa sebagai prediktor iklim sekolah dan dukungan sosial secara simultan berperan signifikan sebagai prediktor kesejahteraan siswa. Therefore it is important for students to feel well-being when they are at school because the better the welfare of students, the better the academic performance of students. This study aims to identify the effect of school climate and social support on student welfare. The research was conducted at public (non-religion-based) junior high schools, both public and private, in Lembang District, West Bandung Regency, with students in grades 7, 8 and 9. The number of respondents in this study were 382 students. Data collection uses three adjusted instruments, namely instruments to measure school climate, social support and student welfare. Students' perceptions of school climate were measured using the Education Department School Climate Survey (EDSCLS) instrument. Social support was measured using the Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS) instrument and student welfare was measured using the Multidimensional Students' Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS) instrument. The reliability of the adaptation instrument in this study was calculated using the Rasch Model contained in the Winstep application. Cronbach's alpha value (α) on the Education Department School Climate Survey (EDSCLS) instrument is 0.95.
