Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan permasalahan pembelajaran IPA yang masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang monoton dan kurang menarik. Pembelajaran IPA yang diharapkan yaitu pembelajaran aktif, kreatif, efisien, dan menyenangkan. Video Edpuzzle merupakan media pembelajaran yang memiliki keunggulan yaitu dapat menyisipkan pertanyaan dalam video sehingga siswa lebih fokus mengamati video agar dapat menjawab kuis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbentuk video untuk melatih pemahaman konsep dengan bantuan platform edpuzzle berbasis pada sintaks model kooperatif dalam pembelajarannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah design and development. Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah dasar negeri kelas empat berjumlah 16 orang siswa yang bertempat di Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan video edpuzzle layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran pada materi macam-macam gaya. Hasil penilaian dari ahli media terhadap video edpuzzle memperoleh persentase 98%, penilaian ahli materi sebesarn 77% dan ahli perangkat pembelajaran sebesar 90%. Selain itu, hasil penelitian dari peningkatan pemahaman memperoleh skor ¬n-gain sebesar 0.5 dengan kategori peningkatan sedang. Adapun hasil n-gain tiap indicator pemahaman konsep yaitu translasi (menerjemahkan) memperoleh skor ¬n-gain 0.8 dengan kategori tinggi, interpretasi (memberikan arti) memperoleh skor 0.4 dengan kategori sedang dan ekstrapolasi (memperluas arti) memeroleh skor n-gain 0.3 dengan kategori sedang, Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa video edpuzzle yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dengan kategori sedang. ------------ This research is motivated by the problem of learning science which still uses learning methods that are monotonous and less interesting. The expected science learning is active, creative, efficient, and fun learning. Video Edpuzzle is a learning medium that has the advantage of being able to insert questions in the video so that students are more focused on observing the video in order to be able to answer quizzes. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of videos to train understanding of concepts with the help of the edpuzzle platform based on the cooperative model syntax in learning. The method used in this research is design and development. This research was conducted in a fourth grade public elementary school with a total of 16 students located in Bandung Regency, West Java. The results of the study show that the edpuzzle video is suitable for use in learning about various styles of material. The results of the media expert's assessment of the Edpuzzle video obtained a percentage of 98%, the material expert's assessment was 77% and the learning device expert was 90%. In addition, the results of research on increasing understanding obtained an n-gain score of 0.5 in the moderate improvement category. The n-gain results for each indicator of understanding the concept are translation (translating) obtaining an n-gain score of 0.8 in the high category, interpretation (giving meaning) obtaining a score of 0.4 in the medium category and extrapolation (expanding meaning) obtaining an n-gain score of 0.3 in the medium category. medium, Thus it can be concluded that the developed edpuzzle video can improve understanding of concepts in the medium category.
