Abstract

Fenomena menarche terjadi di kalangan siswi umur 11-12 tahun yang menandakan awal dari pubertas primer. Banyak siswi remaja awal yang belum siap dengan terjadinya menarche sehingga menimbulkan dampak negatif seperti kecemasan dan misinformasi. Masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana cara merancang media edukasi animasi 2D tentang menarche untuk siswi SMP dan menguji cobanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui rancangan media edukasi animasi 2D tentang menarche untuk siswi SMP dan mengetahui hasil uji coba media tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah DND oleh Ellis dan Levy yang dimulai dari mengidentifikasi masalah, mendeskripsikan tujuan, desain dan pengembangan artefak, menguji coba artefak, mengevaluasi hasil uji coba dan mengkomunikasikan hasil uji coba. Selesai merancang media tersebut dilakukan validasi ke ahli materi, ahli media dan uji pengguna ke 93 siswi kelas VII – VIII SMP Labschool Cibiru untuk melihat respon dari media edukasi yang telah dirancang. Hasil dari pengujian tersebut memilki skor validasi media sebesar 72,3% dengan kriteria “layak”, skor validasi materi sebesar 97% dengan kriteria “sangat layak”, dan skor uji coba pengguna sebesar 78,25% dengan kriteria “layak”. Kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah animasi 2D dapat dijadikan media edukasi menarche untuk siswi SMP. ----------- The phenomenon of menarche occurs among female students aged 11-12 years, signaling the onset of primary puberty. However, this phenomenon has negative impacts, such as anxiety among early adolescent girls who are not prepared for menarche. Therefore, the researcher designed a 2D animation-based educational media about menarche to mediate the management of menarche. The research problem focuses on the design of the 2D animation educational media about menarche for adolescent girls and the trial results of using this educational media. This research aims to determine the design of the 2D animation educational media about menarche for adolescent girls and to assess the trial results of this media. The research methodology used is Design and Development (DND) by Ellis and Levy, which starts with identifying the problem, describing the objectives, designing and developing the artifact, conducting artifact trials, evaluating the trial results, and communicating the trial results. After designing the media, validation is conducted by subject matter expert, media expert, and user testing on 93 female students in grades VII-VIII at SMP Labschool Cibiru to assess the response to the educational media that has been designed. The test results show that the media validation score is 72.3% with "feasible" criteria, the material validation score is 97% with "very feasible" criteria, and the user trial score is 78.25% with "feasible" criteria. The conclusion drawn from this research is that 2D animation can be used as educational media for menarche among junior high school female students.
