Abstract

Sejalan dengan diterapkannya kurikulum merdeka, pada dunia industri global saat ini terdapat permintaan yang tinggi untuk teknisi profesional di bidang yang terkait dengan otomatisasi proses dan rekayasa kontrol sistem. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perlunya model pembelajaran yang tepat dan sesuai dengan kurikulum untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik menghadapi hal tersebut. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan adalah Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran CTL yang telah dilakukan dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka pada mata pelajaran Sistem Kontrol Terprogram, (2) Mengetahui hasil belajar pada pembelajaran CTL yang telah dilakukan pada mata pelajaran Sistem Kontrol Terprogram dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka, (3) Mengetahui minat dan motivasi siswa terhadap implementasi model pembelajaran CTL pada mata pelajaran Sistem Kontrol Terprogram. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen observasi, pre-test dan post-test, dan angket. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah cukup sesuai dengan prinsip model pembelajaran CTL dan cukup baik diterapkan karena sejalan dengan penerapan kurikulum merdeka, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran CTL pada mata pelajaran Sistem Kontrol Terprogram. Selain itu, pada hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa merasa terlibat, termotivasi, dan memiliki minat yang tinggi dalam pembelajaran. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pengajar dapat merancang dan mengembangkan materi pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan berbasis proyek agar sesuai dengan prinsip kurikulum merdeka agar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, serta meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam penerapan model pembelajaran dalam kurikulum merdeka di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). In line with the implementation of the merdeka curriculum, in today's global industrial world, there is a high demand for professional technicians in fields related to process automation and control system engineering. This indicates the need for an appropriate and curriculum-aligned learning model to prepare students to face these challenges. One of the applicable learning models is Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL). The objectives of this research are: (1) To determine the implementation of the CTL learning model in the application of the merdeka curriculum in the subject of Programmed Control Systems, (2) To assess the learning outcomes in CTL learning applied to the Programmed Control Systems subject within the framework of the merdeka curriculum, (3) To gauge the interest and motivation of students towards the implementation of the CTL learning model in the Programmed Control Systems subject. This study employs a quantitative approach, and data collection is conducted using observation instruments, pre-tests and post-tests, and questionnaires. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the learning process is sufficiently aligned with the principles of the CTL learning model and is effectively applied in accordance with the merdeka curriculum. Furthermore, the study shows a significant difference in student learning outcomes before and after the application of the CTL learning model in the Programmed Control Systems subject. Additionally, the questionnaire results reveal that students are engaged, motivated, and highly interested in the learning process. The implications of this research suggest that educators can design and develop contextual and project-based learning materials in line with the principles of the merdeka curriculum to enhance learning outcomes and foster students' interest and motivation. The results of this research are expected to serve as a reference for the implementation of learning models in the context of the merdeka curriculum in Vocational High Schools.
