    Abstract

    Identifikasi konsepsi adalah hal penting yang dilakukan dalam proses pembelajaran fisika serta perlu ditindaklanjuti agar dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa. Namun hingga saat ini, masih terdapat kesulitan membedakan antara siswa yang miskonsepsi dan tidak paham konsep. Kesalahan dalam mengidentifikasi konsepsi siswa akan menyebabkan kesalahan dalam penanggulangannya karena penanggulangan untuk siswa yang miskonsepsi akan berbeda dengan siswa yang tidak tahu konsep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi konsepsi siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor berbantuan pola respon pada instrumen tes diagnostik four-tier. Penelitian ini menggunakan explanatory sequential design. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dengan 10 butir soal pilihan ganda yang dibagikan kepada 242 siswa kelas XI di Kabupaten Bandung dan Kota Bandung. Sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh berdasarkan wawancara kepada tiga siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik convenience sampling untuk data kuantitatif dan teknik purposive sampling untuk data kualitatif. Instrumen dikatakan efektif untuk pengukuran karena dapat mengukur secara konsisten dan dapat diandalkan sehingga instrumen dapat digunakan untuk merepresentasikan identifikasi miskonsepsi siswa. Profil konsepsi siswa menunjukkan kategori miskonsepsi adalah kategori konsepsi dengan persentase tertinggi sebesar 32,80% dan miskonsepsi tertinggi pada sub pokok bahasan pengaruh kalor terhadap wujud zat. Siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, tidak paham konsep, serta tidak memiliki pemahaman yang utuh dan ilmiah sehingga berpengaruh terhadap pemahamannya pada konsep lain yang berkaitan.

    Identifying conceptions is an important aspect of the physics learning process and needs to be addressed in order to reduce students' misconceptions. However, there is still difficulty in distinguishing between students with misconceptions and those who simply do not understand the concepts. Errors in identifying students' conceptions can lead to mistakes in addressing them because the interventions for students with misconceptions will differ from those for students who do not understand the concepts. This research aims to identify students' conceptions in the topic of temperature and heat using the pattern of responses in a four-tier diagnostic test instrument. This research uses an explanatory sequential design. Quantitative data were obtained using 10 multiple-choice items distributed to 242 eleventh-grade students in Bandung Regency and Bandung City. Meanwhile, qualitative data were obtained through interviews with three students. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling for quantitative data and purposive sampling for qualitative data. The instrument is considered effective for measurement because it can consistently and reliably measure, thus the instrument can be used to represent the identification of students' misconceptions. The profile of students' conceptions shows that the misconception category is the highest category with a percentage of 32.80%, and the highest misconception is in the sub-topic of the effect of heat on the state of matter. Students experience misconceptions, do not understand the concept, and do not have a comprehensive and scientific understanding, which affects their understanding of related concepts.
