Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih ditemukannya beberapa siswa kelas III SD Negeri X di Kota Bandung yang belum memahami konsep maupun cara membandingkan dan mengurutkan pecahan berpenyebut berbeda.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul ajar materi pecahan berbasis pendekatan RME untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa fase B. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Design and Development (D&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan tes. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa fase B kelas III sekolah dasar. Proses desain awal modul ajar diawali dengan analisis kurikulum yang terdapat pada kelas III sekolah dasar dan dilanjutkan dengan membuat prototipe serta ilustrasi pendukung dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi Ibis Paint dan Pinterest, kemudian modul ajar dirancang dengan menggunakan Canva. Hasil validasi modul ajar materi pecahan berbasis pendekatan RME dari para validator ahli memperoleh predikat sangat layak dengan masing-masing rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah 93,4% dan 95,5%. Setelah dilakukan implementasi uji coba terbatas modul ajar materi pecahan berbasis RME kepada kelas III sekolah dasar diperoleh pemahaman konsep matematis siswa mengenai pecahan mengalami peningkatan dengan hasil rata-rata skor pre-test 30,4 dengan kategori sangat kurang dan rata-rata skor post-test 85,7 dengan kategori sangat baik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah modul ajar materi pecahan berbasis pendekatan RME dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis pada siswa fase B. This research is motivated by the fact that there are still some third grade students of SD Negeri X in Bandung City who do not understand the concept or how to compare and sort fractions with different denominators. This research aims to develop teaching modules on fraction materials based on the RME approach to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts of phase B students. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE development model (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research instruments used were interviews and tests. The data analysis technique in this study used qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The subjects of this study were phase B students of class III elementary school. The initial design process of the teaching module begins with analyzing the curriculum contained in grade III elementary school and continues with making prototypes and supporting illustrations using the help of Ibis Paint and Pinterest applications, then the teaching module is designed using Canva. The results of the validation of the teaching module of fraction material based on the RME approach from expert validators obtained a very feasible predicate with each average obtained was 93.4% and 95.5%. After the implementation of limited trials of teaching modules on fraction materials based on RME to class III elementary schools, students' understanding of mathematical concepts about fractions has increased with the results of the average pre-test score of 30.4 with the category of very high.
