Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengangkat permasalahan terkait banyaknya siswa yang masih belum siap untuk memasuki dunia kerja khususnya siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Hal inilah yang melatarbelakangi penulis untuk melakukan penelitian. Fokus kajiannya pada faktor-faktor yang mempenga kesiapan kerja dimana Program Praktik Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN) dan keterampilan siswa merupakan faktor yang diduga memiliki pengaruh terhadap kesiapan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran PRAKERIN, keterampilan siswa dan kesiapan kerja serta untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh PRAKERIN dan keterampilan siswa terhadap kesiapan kerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode explanatory survey dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 45 responden dari siswa Kelas XI dan XII Jurusan Otomatisasi dan Tata Kelola Perkantoran SMK BPI Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh informasi bahwa PRAKERIN, keterampilan siswa dan kesiapan kerja berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Kemudian, dari hasil uji hipotesis penelitian didapatkan bahwa PRAKERIN dan keterampilan siswa memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja. Dengan demikian kesiapan kerja dapat dioptimalkan melalui peningkatan PRAKERIN dan keterampilan siswa. This research was conducted by raising the problem that there are many students who are still not ready to enter the world of work, especially Vocational High School (SMK) students. This is the background for the author to conduct research. The focus of the study is on the factors that influence work readiness where the Industrial Internship (PRAKERIN) and student skills are factors that are thought to have an influence on work readiness. This study aims to determine the description of PRAKERIN, student skills and work readiness and to find out whether there is an influence of PRAKERIN and student skills on work readiness. The research method used in this study is an explanatory survey method with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Populations in this study amounted to 45 respondents from Cclass XI and XII students of the Student Competence in Office Automation and Governance of SMK BPI Bandung. Based on the results of the study, information was obtained that PRAKERIN, student skills and work readiness were in a very high category. Then, from the results of hypothesis testing, it is found that PRAKERIN and student skills have a positive and significant influence on work readiness. Thus, work readiness can be optimized through improving PRAKERIN and student skills.
