Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran panumbu catur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran panumbu catur sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media Cue Card di kelas XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Rancaékék tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan teknik one grup pretest posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan tiga hal, pertama kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran panumbu catur sebelum menggunakan media Cue Card tergolong dalam kategori kurang, kedua kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran panumbu catur sesudah menggunakan media Cue Card tergolong dalam kategori baik dan yang ketiga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran panumbu catur sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media Cue Card. Kesimpulannya, media Cue Card bisa meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran panumbu catur di kelas XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Rancaekek taun ajaran 2022/2023. This research is motivated by the lack of students' speaking skills in learning moderator. This study aims to describe students' speaking skills in learning moderator before and after using Cue Card media in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Rancaékék in the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used is quasi-experimental with one group pretest posttest technique. Based on the results of the study, three things were found, firstly the students' speaking ability in learning Panumbu Chess before using Cue Card media was classified in the less category, secondly students' speaking ability in moderator learning after using Cue Card media was classified in the good category and thirdly there was a significant difference between students' speaking ability in moderator learning before and after using Cue Card media. In conclusion, Cue Card media can improve students' speaking skills in learning moderator in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Rancaekek for the 2022/2023 academic year.
