Abstract
Keterampilan berbicara merupakan salah satu dari empat keterampilan berbahasa yang harus terus diajarkan untuk memaksimalkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa. Keterampilan berbicara sangat penting dalam segala bidang kehidupan, terutama dalam proses pembelajaran. Keterampilan berbicara berkaitan erat dengan keseluruhan proses pembelajaran dan harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Keberhasilan belajar seorang siswa di sekolah sangat ditentukan pada penguasaan keterampilan lisannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Desain. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 40 siswa kelas V sekolah dasar tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang terbagi dalam dua rombongan belajar di salah satu SD Negeri Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan nontes, instrumen tes terbagi dua yaitu soal berorientasi keterampilan berbicara dan lembar penilaian praktik berbicara. Kemudian instrumen nontes berupa lembar observasi kinerja guru dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Data penelitian diolah berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest keterampilan berbicara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol melalui statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS 25 dan Microsoft Excel 2019. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu: 1) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC, 2) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara antara siswa yang belajar dengan model RADEC dan siswa yang tidak belajar dengan model RADEC. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar. Speaking skills are one of the four language skills that must be taught to maximize students' communication skills. Speaking skills are very important in all areas of life, especially in the learning process. Speaking skills are closely related to the whole learning process and must be mastered by students. The learning success of a learner at school is largely determined by the mastery of his oral skills. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the RADEC learning model to the speaking skills of elementary school students. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted on 40 grade V elementary school students for the 2022/2023 school year, which were divided into two study groups at one of Bandung City Public Elementary Schools. The research instrument used tests and non-tests, the test instruments were divided into two, namely speaking skill-oriented questions and speaking practice assessment sheets. Then the non-test instrument is in the form of observation sheets of teacher performance and student learning activities. Research data was processed based on the results of the pretest and posttest of the speaking skills of the experimental class and the control class through descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the help of the IBM SPSS 25 and Microsoft Excel 2019 programs. The results of this study were: 1) there were differences in the speaking skills of students in the experimental class before and after the application of the RADEC learning model, 2) there are differences in improving speaking skills between students who learn with the RADEC model and students who do not learn with the RADEC model. So it can be concluded that the RADEC learning model has a significant effect on the speaking skills of elementary school students.
