Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena saat ini Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) terjadi sangat cepat terutama di era industri 4.0 dimana semua orang sudah terlibat dengan internet termasuk dunia Pendidikan. Penggunaan e-book diharapkan bisa meningkatkan pengetahuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengenunaan e-book terhadap pengetahuan siswa kelas IV pada pembeljaran IPS materi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam. Metode penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperiment dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Ciwaruga 1 dan SDN Cihanjuang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan e-book terhadap pengetahuan siswa kelas IV pada pembelajaran IPS materi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam. Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan antara siswa kelas IV SD yang belajarnya menggunakan e-book dengan siswa kelas IV SD yang belajarnya menggunakan buku tema yang sehari-hari digunakan sekolah pada pembelajaran IPS materi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam. Kelas kontrol lebih besar dari kelas eksperimen. Penggunaan buku tema yang sehari-hari digunakan sekolah lebih baik digunakan dari e-book. ------ This research is motivated because currently Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is happening very quickly, especially in the industrial era 4.0 where everyone is already involved with the internet, including the world of Education. The use of e-books is expected to increase knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of e-books on the knowledge of fourth grade students on social studies learning material on the use of natural resources. This research method is a quasi-experimental design with Pretest- Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SDN Ciwaruga 1 and SDN Cihanjuang. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was an effect of the use of e-books on the knowledge of fourth grade students in social studies learning on the use of natural resources. There is a difference in knowledge between fourth grade elementary school students who study using e-books and fourth grade elementary school students who study using theme books that are used by schools in social studies learning material on natural resource utilization. The control class is bigger than the experimental class. The use of theme books that are used daily by schools is better to use than e-books.
