Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari permasalahan perkembangan bahasa pada tahap membaca permulaan anak masih rendah, dimana anak yang akan masuk sekolah dasar masih belum mengenal membaca permulaan atau keaksaraan awal. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengaplikasikan metode penugasan dalam menstimulasi kemampuan membaca permulaan melalui media loose parts. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas, desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu model Pelton dengan tiga tindakan, di setiap tindakannya terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan penilaian hasil. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi anak, catatan lapangan, lembar aktivitas guru dan dokumentasi berupa foto-foto mengenai kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis yang digunakan untuk kualitatif berupa deskripsi pada saat proses pembelajaran dan untuk kuantitatif menggunakan rumus presentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan dalam kemampuan membaca permulaan anak setelah dilakukan menggunakan media loose parts. Pada tindakan I memperoleh 51,19% yang artinya kemampuan membaca permulaan anak cukup, pada tindakan II memperoleh 73,81% yang artinya kemampuan membaca permulaan anak baik, dan pada tindakan III memperoleh 90,47% yang artinya kemampuan membaca permulaan anak sangat baik. Dari presentase tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode penugasan dapat menstimulasi kemampuan membaca permulaan anak melalui media loose parts. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi untuk kegiatan pembelajaran pada jenjang PAUD, karena dengan metode penugasan yang dikemas dengan menggunakan media loose parts, anak lebih tertarik dalam belajar mengenal huruf. Sehingga kemampuan membaca permulaan anak dapat meningkat secara bertahap dengan cara yang menyenangkan. ----- This research is motivated by the problem of language development at the early reading stage of children is still low, where children who will enter elementary school are still not familiar with early reading or early literacy. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to apply the assignment method in stimulating early reading skills through loose parts media. This researcher uses the classroom action research method, the research design used is the Pelton model with three actions, in each action consisting of five stages, namely problem identification, data collection, action planning, action implementation and outcome assessment. Data were collected through children's observation sheets, field notes, teacher activity sheets and documentation in the form of photos of learning activities. The research methods used are qualitative and quantitative. The analysis used for qualitative is in the form of descriptions during the learning process and for quantitative using the percentage formula. The results showed an increase in children's early reading ability after using loose parts media. In action I, it got 51.19%, which means that the child's early reading ability is sufficient, in the second action, it is 73.81%, which means that the child's early reading ability is good, and in the third action, he gets 90.47%, which means that the child's early reading ability is very good. From this percentage, it can be concluded that the assignment method can stimulate children's early reading skills through loose parts media. This research can be used as a reference for learning activities at the PAUD level, because with the assignment method packaged using loose parts media, children are more interested in learning to recognize letters. So that children's early reading skills can increase gradually in a fun way.
