Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih terdapat peserta didik yang belum lancar dalam membaca permulaan dan kurang beragamnya bentuk media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran, sehingga motivasi peserta didik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran berkurang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran powerpoint interaktif berbasis android untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian design and development, dengan menggunakan prosedur penelitian yang dikemukakan oleh Peffers dkk. (2007). Pengembangan ini dilakukan untuk menilai produk mengenai kelayakan apabila dijadikan media pembelajaran. Partisipan penelitian ini melibatkan ahli materi dan ahli media untuk validasi. Selain itu 1 orang pendidik dan 13 orang peserta didik untuk memberikan respon dalam penggunaan media. Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi sebesar 95 % dalam kategori sangat layak, penilaian ahli media sebesar 98,53 % dalam kategori sangat layak. Selain itu mendapatkan penilaian dari guru sebesar 89,58 % dalam kategori sangat layak, penilaian dari peserta didik sebesar 87, 57 % dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil peningkatan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas 1 setelah menggunakan media powerpoint sebesar 3%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran powerpoint interaktif berbasis android untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 SD sangat layak untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca peserta didik. ----- This research is motivated that there are still students who are not fluent in beginning reading and less varied of media forms used in learning, so that the motivation of students in learning activities is reduced. The aim of this research is to design and develop interactive powerpoint learning media based on the android for improve beginning reading ability in Ist grade students elementary school. This research is a design and development research, using the research procedure proposed by Peffers dkk. (2007). This development was carried out to assess the product's feasibility when used as a learning medium. Participants in this study involved material experts and media experts for validation. In addition, 1 educator and 13 students provide responses in the use of media. The results of this research are based on the assessment of material experts by 95% in the very eligible category, the assessment of media experts by 98.53% in the very eligible category. In addition, getting an assessment from the teacher of 89.58% in the very eligible category, the assessment of the students by 87, 57% in the very good category. The results of the improve in the beginning reading of grade 1 students after using powerpoint media were 3%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that interactive powerpoint learning media based on the android for improve beginning reading ability in 1st grade students elementary school is very feasible to be used as learning media and can improve students reading ability.
